'Orange ya wondering where I've been??

Hi all! I wish I had a fabulous, impressive answer to why I've been MIA this past week but truth is, I've got nothing. Just day-to-day busy life! I've missed my little blog so I think I'll be doing lots of blogging this week, including posting those Anthro fitting room reviews from my last shopping trip. I tried on almost 50 things so I'll have to pare down a little when deciding what to share. SO we're well into November now and I'm loving the feel of the holidays nearing. I had my first Starbucks Salted Caramel hot chocolate today in the cute little red holiday cup, I saw my first Hershey Kiss Christmas commercial (you know, the one where it jingles out "We Wish you a Merry Christmas" with the kisses), Black Friday ads are starting to leak out all over (we're T-minus 18 days people!!!) and I even passed by a house with Christmas lights on tonight (that may be a bit pre-mature, but the truth is, I loved seeing it). I can't wait for Christmas music to start playing all over...I love that! I'm totally in the holiday spirit this year!

Before I jump feet first into Christmas I thought I'd get all the orange out of my closet that I can while "fall" is still here. I counted three outfits I wore last week that featured the color orange...wanna see?

I wore this the day before Halloween to church:

-Long Lines Dress-DownEast Basics
-Roaming Frills Cardigan-Anthropologie
-Lyons Pump-Banana Republic
-Renegade Cluster Necklace-Stella & Dot
-Papoose Earrings-Anthropologie
-Bracelet and Ring-Forever 21

The next day was Halloween so of course I had to bust out some more orange:

-Tie-Neck Blouse (this was a dress that I had shortened to a blouse)-Ruche
-Cardigan-Loft
-Pilcro Stet Slim Denim-Anthropologie (this was my first time to wear the green Pilcros and I LOVED them!!!)
-Anticipation Heels-Anthropologie
-Small Circle Necklace-Shabby Apple
-Purple Bangle-Gap Outlet
-Gold Bangles and Earrings-Nordstrom (BP)
-Ring-Ruche

A few days later that week I once again grabbed some orange out of my closet. I layered on a heavy sweater to keep warm...it was so cold!! (Sorry for the flash around my head...it was dark out with bad lighting in our house)

-Blazing Blouse-Anthropologie
-Chunky Weave Open Cardigan-Banana Republic
-Ultimate Skinny Jeans-Banana Republic
-Miz Mooz "Siri" Wedge Boots-Endless
-Renegade Cluster Necklace-Stella & Dot
-Sea Drop Earrings-Anthropologie
-Bardot Spiral Bracelet-Stella & Dot
-Ring-Forever 21

It's funny because I was never a fan of orange until just a few years ago..now I love it! I love all the different hues and shades there are to pick from. It's also a fun accent color and mixes well with so many colors of the rainbow.

I'm hoping for a good Anthro sale tonight (2nd cuts would even be nice) but I have a feeling we won't see much of a sale for the next few weeks from what I've read online, so I'm not counting on it. You never know though...stranger things have happened! I'm off to get my kiddos to bed and then hit the treadmill. There was no school today so I enjoyed sleeping in and skipped the early morning run. I rarely pass up the chance to sleep in...I'm no crazy lady! =)

Hope you all have a great day!

  13. Jenni!!

That red dress is stunning. But I really love the second outfit! You make me think that I need to go shopping at Anthro right now :) Either that or you can send me that outfit! I also love the boots in the third one.

I am so excited for the spirit of Christmas too! Lights on? Yes, maybe a little premature, but nonetheless exciting!!!

  14. I'm a total fan of the orange. Awesome idea to shorten that "dress" to a blouse...it looks amazing! I own that Loft cardi you paired with the blouse, and I must say that it's one of my favorite orange pieces that I own. Muted and gorgeous! You look amazing, as always.
