Summer Days

Here we are smack dab in the middle of summer vacation and I am loving life right about now! This morning I didn't get out of bed until almost 9am. Lazy? Yes, a little. But I'm ok with that. In about a month I won't get to do that anymore so I have to take advantage while I can! My youngest came in and snuggled in bed with me as he watched cartoons and I enjoyed the lack of a to-do list. We got up, I made muffins for the kids for breakfast, we ate breakfast, we watched some TV, my oldest made a cute little book and read it to me, the boys played some (educational) computer games, many lego creations were made and spread all over the house, I folded some laundry, we had lunch, my youngest took his nap, I gave my two older boys haircuts, I finally showered and got ready for the day (around 2pm...whoops!), we hung out some more, we went to the park to meet up with some friends for a play date, I said goodbye to a friend who is moving tomorrow, we came home and ate dinner, the boys and I loaded back up in the car and went to get some fro-yo for dessert, we came home, I gave my youngest his haircut, we did the whole bedtime routine and the boys went to bed and then my husband got home before it was completely dark out. YAY! The end. It was a great summer day.

Here's what I wore:

Floral Print Tank-Old Navy
Tank-Old Navy
Cardigan-Forever 21
Cropped Jeans-J Crew Factory
Steve Madden "Fantasik" Wedge Sandals-Amazon
Necklace-Lisa Leonard Designs
Earrings-Nordstrom
Bracelet-Stella & Dot
Ring-Pree Brulee

It's been a while since I've posted my wish list so I thought I'd share what it is I've got my eye on right now...too many things, as always!!! =)
Love List-July 2011

Just a few things! =) There are of course more, but I have to draw a line somewhere.

Oh, and remember that dress I MAY have ordered from DownEast Basics last week? This one:

It arrived at my doorstep today and I might be in LOVE! The length is actually pretty good and the colors are so pretty! I can't wait to wear it! I think I may sew a small snap into the skirt part to keep the wrap part from opening up too much even though it would probably be fine without it. It's not a true wrap bottom...kind of a half-wrap. Anyhow, for $31 I was pretty impressed!

Well, I'm off to organize a few things before I head to bed. Gotta get ready for our weekend company who arrive tomorrow night!

Have a great Thursday!

  3. I ordered that Downeast dress too but am debating whether it is a keeper. I worry about that wrap flap too and I am in Primary where I need no fuss dresses. I can't wait to see it on you. I think I may need to downsize too so I am still thinking about it.
