To cut or not to cut...that is the question...and an OOTD!

Happy Friday to you!  Anyone else happy the weekend is here?  We don't have any big plans for the next few days but I'm just excited to have a few days off from the daily routine.  I do have a hair appointment scheduled for Saturday morning...time to get my roots touched up!  I keep going back and forth about if I want to take a few inches off my hair or not...I can't decide.  I have been trying to grow my hair out for almost 2 years now and it just won't grow any longer than it is right now...it's at a stand still and has been for months!  It's getting on my nerves and I just want it to look different so cutting it would be the way to do it at this point.  Knowing we are moving to hot and humid weather this summer makes me want to chop it all off (not really all of it...just a few inches)...my hair falls so flat in humidity.  I'm going to have to re-train my hair to do what I want it to I fear.  Anyways, what do you think?  Cut a few inches off so it's a true shoulder length cut or be patient?  Chime in!

I thought I'd share an outfit with you I wore last week...it was a cold, dreary day so I broke out the boots:

What I Wore:
Artist's Study Cardigan-Anthropologie
Sidebent Tank-Anthropologie

Miz Mooz "Siri" Knee-High Boots-Endless

I love this fun colorful cardigan...it can be mixed and matched with a variety of colors!

Alrighty...hope you have a great start to the weekend...enjoy your day!

  1. HI Jenni, I was bound and determined to grow my hair out too. No go, it was at a standstill as well. So I cut it a wee bit. A fresh haircut is fun and you can always grown it back out again!!

    Love your OOTD

    1. It's so weird how it hits a certain length and then just stops growing! So weird!!

  2. I agree about the fresh haircut! It would feel wonderful. (I am scheduled for the same thing in May. :)

  3. I am trying to grow mine as well and it is SUCH a pain! My hair is so thick and wavy the longer it gets the more unruly it gets! I say CHOP IT! You have a long skinny perfect neck and a shorter cut would totally accentuate that! I say BOB it! A longer bob!

    1. I feel your pain! I think a long bob might be exactly what I need...we'll see.

  4. Just found your blog! Love it! Love your OOTD posts. I like your hair the length it is, but a shorter cut would be cute also. I have a question for you...you know the jcrew toothpick ankle jeans that you have? Do they run TTS or do you need to order bigger size because they are skinny jeans? I have been really wanting a pair.

    1. Hi Nicole!! Thanks so much...you're so sweet! So the J Crew ankle denim is the factory version and they run TTS to the other brands I wear for the most part. I take size 25, or 0 in AG, Gap and J Crew so I'd say stick to what you're used to. Hope that helps!

  5. We'll be haircut twins tomorrow, I'm also going in! I'm going to cut mine a bit to get all the dead ends off. I like your hair long but it would also look cute and fresh shorter. Sorry, no help at all I know. And by the way, I love that cardi!

  6. Oh how I loathe that in between state! I love it as is but I get what you mean about wanting a change. I feel like I'm stuck with long hair because I just can't pull off shorter cuts!

    1. Good point...the bad thing is that it literally took me 2 years to grow about 3-4 inches! It's do slow!!

  8. Speaking as someone who lives in all that humidity that you are about to call home, I'd say cut it - my hair also goes seriously flat in humidity (I envy people who get frizzy!) and I just keep it in a bob. The weight of longer hair is just disastrous for me in the summer months.

    1. Oh boy, you're making me so excited to move back to humidity! lol I remember well how hard it is to deal with longer hair in humidity...we lived in San Antonio for 4 years. I did grow my hair out while we were there but remember it not lasting long. I think it's time for a bob! =)

  9. When I moved here I wondered why everyone had their hair in a ponytail. After living through an awfully hot and humid summer, I figured out why. I am going to grow my hair out just enough to fit into a ponytail for this coming summer! I also noticed people didn't wear much make-up in the summer either but I don't dare go that far!
