The waiting game...

This week has gone by SOOOOOOO slow.  I can't even tell you how slow.  The reason?  We have not-so-patiently been waiting to find out where we'll be moving this summer!  I've mentioned before, hubby has been in an Oral Maxillofacial Surgery residency for the past (almost) four years and is now just four months away from being done...YAY!  I can't believe we've almost made it!  He's in the Air Force so we know it's time for a transfer to take place, but we don't know where his new assignment is yet.  We were told we would know by the end of February but that obviously didn't pan out.  Now, we hear we should find out today sometime (hopefully...no guarantee I suppose).  I've been doing anything I can to keep myself distracted while waiting for the phone call...I even resorted to cleaning and organizing yesterday!  I spent about 5 hours going through a few areas of my house.  It feels good to get the ball rolling on spring cleaning at least!

Since all I was doing was waiting around for answers this week (just kidding...I wish all I was doing was sitting around!), I decided I'd at least get dressed up on Tuesday when I went to go work in #2's kindergarten class.  I picked this sweater up when it was on sale + an extra 30% off at J Crew.
What I Wore:
Merino Tatted Lace Sweater-J Crew
Cap Sleeve Tee-Shade Clothing
Pilcro Stet Slim Straight Denim-Anthropologie
Miz Mooz "Siri" Knee-high boots
Drawing Room Necklace (Winter 2011 version)-Anthropologie
Earrings-Banana Republic
Bracelet/Ring-Forever 21

Speaking of getting dressed, this was my favorite day of the school year so far.  Today, the school my kids go to is celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday.  In honor of his birthday, they are participating in the Read Across America day which I think is awesome.  The kids got to wear their pajamas and bring their pillow pets to school with them so they'd be comfy while reading most of the day.  On a normal school day you can find me dragging at least 2 of my 3 kids out of bed at around 7:15am, usually bribing them to get dressed (they hate getting dressed in the morning for some reason) and throwing breakfast at them as they get into the car.  It's usually a mad dash to be at school and lined up by 7:55am.  This morning?  They were so excited to wear their pj's that they were all up at 6:30am and had eaten by 7:20am.  What the heck?  That's all is takes?  To be able to skip getting dressed?  So funny. It was such a pleasant morning!

Alrighty, back to the waiting game.  I have a few things to get done today that should keep me busy.  Hope you are having a fabulous Friday!

  4. Hi there,

Great outfit. I TOTALLY know the feeling! I am an Army resident and I graduate in May. I was told so many different times I'd find out "soon" but I actually found out mid- February- that we are going to JB Lewis-McChord in WA.
    Super exciting.
Hope you get someplace that you love!
