Accessory Search: Camera Bag

Happy Tuesday all! This morning I sat down at the computer with a mission in mind...to find and purchase a new camera bag. Hubby bought me a new camera for Christmas and I love it! It's been fun to have a "nicer" camera instead of just a point and shoot. That being said, I want to keep this nicer camera, well, nice! I'm in need of a camera bag ASAP! After doing some searching online I came to the conclusion that it's really hard to find a cute, stylish, affordable bag. Who would have known? There are a lot of handmade bags offered on ETSY but I really wanted a good, solid, sturdy bag that actually looked like and could double as an everyday purse so I could just grab it and go whenever I wanted. So you wanna know what I finally chose? Say hello to my new camera bag:

This is the Rose-Marigold bag from Jo Totes. Isn't it darling!?! I've always wanted a yellow bag. I love all the cute compartments and the inside lining...so fun. At first glance it may not seem super affordable, but when you compare it to all the other options out there you'll start to change your mind (I certainly did). Sticking to my plan of spending less in the new year, I sold a few items this past week on EA's Trade market that helped cover a big chunk of the expense of this bag so I didn't feel so bad about it at all. I can't wait for it to arrive!

I'd also love to find a cute camera strap to replace the one my camera came with...it works just fine but it's just typical and boring. Nothing too cute. That will be a project for another day.

An hour and a half later...mission complete. On with my day. =)

  1. Hi Jenni! I totally struggled with how to transport my DSLR around town. My husband joked when we bought it that it would mean he would have to carry it around, so I was resolved to make it work! I got this soft case from Op/tech, which is essential a neoprene-like glove for the camera. I now put it in my regular purse and it works well! My hubbie also got me the Black Rapid Strap (for women) which has flowers on the shoulder pad. I didn't know that they made women's camera bags like this - I would love the extra pockets for my lens! Thanks for the post!

  2. Wow, that is a really great bag! I've never seen girly camera bags and we have a lot of camera bags in the house. That's also a great price; Billingham bags are around $300 - $500. I hope you love it and that it helps you to take beautiful photos :)

  3. So, we have just bought a new camera today and I might just have to copy you! I think I might wait for the teal one, though! Thanks for doing the legwork for me--good thing we live in different states!
