Happy Spring???

On the first day of spring I was hoping to wear sandals, short sleeves and bare legs but what did I actually wear?

-Floral Print Tank-Loft
-Set the Course Cardi-Anthropologie
-Acting Out Skirt- Anthropologie
-Sweater Tights-American Eagle
-Ruffle T-Strap Heels-Old Navy
-Earrings-can't remember!!!
-Ring-Forever 21
-Necklace-J Crew

All well. Maybe next year!

I literally built my outfit around these sweater tights today because I was freezing and wanted to be warm at church. This is the first time I've worn my Acting Out skirt. I'm super excited I was able to track one down (it was part of my Valentines day present that I bought myself for my husband--lol) because it's such a fun twist on the usual pencil skirt. It's really comfy too! Two thumbs up for sure.

So I decided to change up the colors on my blog in honor of the change of seasons...out with the February pinks and in with some bright, fun color combinations for spring! This is my son's last week of school until his 2 week-long spring excited! My 4 year old actually still has preschool the following week so we'll still be around but the week after that we're school-free. YAY! Time to start putting together a list of activities to do to keep us busy! Any ideas? I'd love to hear what you have in mind!

I'm off to spend some quality time with my hubs...hope you have a great start to the week!

  1. This is a really cute outfit -- I actually thought it was the Night Blooming Dress from a distance, haha. Love the Acting Out Skirt. As for activities for a four-year-old, I am a swimming coach, so of course I will say indoor pools! We have a great one in my area that has a zero-depth entry and is perfect for young kids.

  2. Wow, 2 wks off sounds great, I cannot wait for our week off. 25 days to go!!! I love your floral top from Loft, so springy!

  3. I love that floral tank!! So cute :)

  4. I love the top as well! I always think Loft is out of my price range, but I went in there the other day and found the cutest pieces!! Worth saving up for a few pieces, I believe!

  5. Your new skirt is fantastic on you - such a pretty streamlined look, I love it! Do you have a rock climbing gym in your area? Harrison just went to a b-day party at one and had the best time, I am going to try to take my boys during their open hours when they have off from school. I'm sure you will pack your days with fun stuff!

  6. I hope it warms up there!!! You look so cute all dressed for the weather so thank goodness you were able to wear this before it gets too hot!!! I totally watched the finale last night and was really surprised by what happened at the after the final rose! I hope they make it!

  7. I agree! So not Spring here in the Bay Area! I love that skirt on you - that was a fantastic find!

I've been a lurker for a long time - I love your outfits!

  8. That is definitley an appropriate shirt for the first day of spring :) Love the colors!!

  9. It's SO HARD to shake the tights, but we're getting cold again here so good thing I didn't pack them away! Love this skirt, it's really flattering!

  10. Hah - love that you built your outfit around the tights! It has been freezing though, so I totally sympathize. The pattern of your blouse is so pretty, and it goes great with your pencil!

  11. Katie--We have an indoor pool close-by...good idea! I need to get my boys signed up for swimming lessons again too--thanks for the reminder! =)

    Molly and Julie--thanks!! =)

Leah--Loft can be super affordable if you wait for the sales...there are some great deals to be had!

Jan--another great idea! There is a rock-wall on base actually...might have to go check it out! Thanks!

Tricia--Yay--you're back! SO ya, After the rose was craziness! Sounds like he has some demons to work out...I kinda doubt they'll make it. All well.

Elle Marie--Thanks for commenting! Nice to meet you! =) From one bay area girl to another...let's hope the weather turns nice soon!!!

Tara, Hope and Andrea--thank ladies! =)
