The no-picture OOTD and a few Old Navy finds

I never got around to taking a picture of what I was wearing today...I actually wore an outfit for two hours this morning and then changed after realizing I hated what I was wearing. I'm such a girl. The shirt went into the goodwill box...the shorts are soon to follow I fear. What I did end up wearing was much cuter...jean shorts, a red v-neck tee with a band at the bottom, gold jewelry and this cardigan:

Lightweight Open Cardigan

This was one of the three things I kept from an order I placed back in June from Old Navy...it's pretty comfy and runs true to size to a little big...I took an XS. The Small had too much fabric flowing in front...just seemed a little much.

Another item that I kept from this order was this:

Printed Ruffle-Trim Top

''

I thought this would be a great layering piece...you could pair it with a pink, black or white cardigan...and would be super cute with jeans, white pants or black capris. Pretty versatile in my mind. I ended up getting it in an XS...the Small was way too boxy and big at the bottom. If you're a little bigger on the top, however, you'd want to stick to your regular size.

The last item I kept was a floral printed cardigan...I got this thinking I would pair it with a flowy layered gray J Crew tank I already have:

Floral Print Cardigan

I was actually pretty unsure about this when I bought it and thought it might eventually be a return item for me, but when I put it on with the gray tank I really liked it. The yellows are so pretty and just mix so well with the greys. Keeper! This runs true to size as well...I got an XS...what I usually get in Old Navy cardigans.

Since I returned one item I didn't like, that gave me a little "store credit" so to speak (still staying withing my rules because no extra money was spent), so I picked this up:

Mock Two-Piece Cabana Dress

Just a super comfy summer outfit...and I love the stripes on top...a great black and white piece. I got this in a Small. The XS was a bit too short and too tight through the arms. If you look online, it's actually on sale for under $12 right now! It hits me a few inches above my knee so I'll be wearing black leggings with it. I have a pair of leggings I love that I got from Target last year...they're surprisingly NOT see-through and were only $6! I would like to get another pair of black leggings that have a little something to them though...the Target pair are pretty plain. Any suggestions??

The Old Navy return was the last return I had to make so I won't be making anymore "store credit" purchases anytime soon. Unless one of my wish list items heads to a great sale in the next few weeks I'm still in a no-spending zone until our trip into the city. I can't wait for that!! Shopping in SF with no kids...BLISS!!! Counting down the days...
