The casual pant

I typically stick to denim bottoms in some form when I get dressed in the morning...unless I'm wearing a skirt or dress.  Occasionally it's crossed my mind that it would be nice to have a casual pant option to pull out instead of always wearing jeans or denim shorts.

I saw these in the store when I was on my girl's weekend trip in Denver and couldn't leave them behind...I loved them!  I wore them a few weeks ago for the first time:

I originally bought the grey motif of these pants but then after realizing they came in an army green motif, I returned the grey and went for those.  The army green will mix and match with more in my closet I think.  It's a great neutral!  They do come in a very cute pink color too though...I'll be watching for those at sale time I think!  One thing I should mention...they run a bit on the big side.  I would have expected to take these in a size 2 because of the material (there's very little to no stretch) but the size 0 was a much better fit so I went with that.

Do you venture from denim very often?  Or is that uncharted territory for you?

One more thing...I'm sure most of you know, as of July 1st Google Reader will be no more.  For those of you currently following me via Google Reader, click HERE to now follow via Bloglovin'.

  4. I'm considering throwing all my denim out when the cold weather arrives and starting again. I don't have many pairs of jeans but I just need to devote a little time to finding the perfect pair rather than making do with one or two 'meh' pairs. I just wear chinos instead most of the time!

    1. Finding the perfect pair of jeans can be so darn tricky! IT's so worth it though...you'll love them once you find them!

  6. I love these pants and they seem super versatile as you can add any bright or printed top to it and have a great look. I am usually a shorts girl as the summers in the DC area are generally very hot with many days in the 90s, but I've been wearing more capris this summer since I'm preggo. We'll see how I last in July and August when things really get steamy hot.
