A Little Artsy

Hi all!  Long time no blog!

First up, the cute girls over at Tartan & Sequins are featuring me as their Girl Crush of the Week today HERE!  Thanks ladies!  Head on over to learn some fun facts you may not already know about me! =)

*************

Wednesday ended up being a snow day here due to the 8 inches of snow that fell the night before...I've never seen so much snow fall in one night in my life!  My kids were beyond excited to get to stay home and play all day...and play they did!  They had a blast!  Even the base was shut down so hubby got to stay home as well.  We didn't leave the house all day...I got a ton done!  I ended up cleaning out my boy's rooms, catching up on laundry, cleaning some bathrooms, going for a run and working out, and of course spent some time with my boys and hubs.  It was kind of weird to have a day off in the middle of the week, but I'm always happy to have a day off at all so I'll take it!  Everyone was back to their regularly scheduled programs yesterday morning and now this morning the sun is actually shining...melt that snow I say!!!

I have some errands to get to this morning, but before I do I thought I'd share an outfit with you that I wore last week.  I purchased this tee last summer for super cheap when it hit 2nd cuts...it was one of those items I threw in my cart at the last second, half-way thinking I might return it, but when I got it, I ended up really liking it!  The design on the shirt seems very artsy to me...something I usually don't gravitate towards, but for some reason I really liked this one!

We are less than two weeks away from our big trip to England...time to start getting serious about a packing list!  The weather is up in the air...may be cold, may warm up a little it looks like so that makes it a little difficult to plan.  I think I'll probably just plan for cold weather with layers and then I'll be covered for it all.  First though, I'm off to purchase some new luggage today...we just decided ours is looking pretty sad and we need to replace it.  We bought it the week before we got married almost 12 years ago so I guess it's time. =)

Oh, and just in case anyone was wondering, remember how I purchased a new dress to wear to my brother's wedding next week?  Well, I got it and it's super cute, but a few inches shorter than I hoped it would be.  Never fear, I THINK I've solved the problem.  The fab team over at A Slip Shop on ETSY are amazing and helped me out by agreeing to ship me THIS cute extender slip in time for me to leave next week for the wedding.  I think the magenta color will be perfect with the dress.  I also tried the dress on with a few necklaces, and believe it or not, instead of a single gold chain, I liked a more colorful necklace with it best!  So here's the new, revised look I'll be wearing:

Hopefully it all comes together ok!

Off to get my day started...hope you have a good one!
