Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend! Despite battling being under the weather I had a pretty good weekend. In case you missed it I posted a new batch of clothes for sale on my sale blog HERE so check it out!
This is the official last week of summer and I couldn't be happier. I am so ready for fall...bring it on! When we lived in CA, and even TX we never really got "seasons". It was usually either hot or cold, nothing much in between. Now that we live in the mid-west we actually get to experience 4 seasons throughout the year! I can't wait for the leaves to start changing colors and the pumpkin patches to open...I absolutely love this time of year! It's only suppose to be in the 60's and 70's most of the week here so the change is already happening.
Here's an outfit I wore on Friday...it was a little chilly out in the morning so an outfit with a cardigan was quite appropriate:
A little bright and colorful? Perhaps. Sometimes that's how I roll.
So if you're an Anthro fan you no doubt noticed all the sale action happening this weekend. I have to admit, I was pulled in. BUT, I restrained from going too nuts. On Saturday I used some return credit and the 20% off discount to purchase these:

in Green

I couldn't be happier that my search for mint jeans has finally come to an end. Although these aren't dead on "mint" they are close enough for me and I actually think I like the richer color of these better than a true mint anyways. Check that one off the list!
Then this morning I woke up to find that there was another fun Anthro sale (two in two days, say it isn't so!!). I was so excited to see that a pair of shoes I've been lusting after was marked down:
I'll be using my birthday discount and some birthday money I was gifted to add these to my closet today. They are so pretty...love them! And so perfect for fall (but I love that they are a color that can be used year round too)!
I'll be doing some clothing shopping for fall today; not for me but for my crew. My oldest came out this morning in his favorite pair of jeans and they were 1-too tight, and 2-total high waters. The kid grew a TON this summer! Luckily we had back-ups that were looking ok still. So it's fall clothes shopping time for him, for sure. My other two get lots of hand me downs from my oldest, but of course they get some fun new things each season too. It's only fair! I don't know about your house, but in this house the second something isn't "fair" I hear about it from them! =) Thankfully boy's clothes has come a long way in the past few years and it's actually pretty fun to shop for them. The only problem is my oldest has to be with me or sitting next to me looking at everything online and approving everything before I push "purchase"...he's a picky little guy! Off to check out some sites...
Have a great day!
Enjoying the slight change in temperatures here also. The mornings are cool....it makes the walk to school very pleasant. Loving your bright color combo....looks so cheerful. My son is picky with clothes also so it made me laugh to read about your son approving before you press the 'purchase' button. Same thing here.
ReplyDeleteThanks! And oh my gosh, glad to know I'm not the only mom of boys dealing with it! =)
DeleteI had some items on my Anthro wishlist but totally wasn't anticipating buying anything until that sudden 20% off promo hit. I got sucked in too! I placed my order online though, so after shipping and tax, I am not sure how much I actually got off, haha, but I hope my items work out (got the intarsia dotted sweater dress and the skirted striped tee - like I need another striped anything!)
ReplyDeleteI'm having a polka dot obsession lately, so I get it with the stripes. =) Hope your fun new items work out!
DeleteGlad you picked up the Joppa Heels in this morning's sale, those were one of my favorite choices from your 'birthday list.' I love them, but am not certain I can manage the heel. :-)
ReplyDeleteLisa, I can't wait to hear what you think of the dotted sweater dress!
I am so excited to get them...I hear there is a bit of a platform inside so hopefully that'll offset the height a little! =)
Deleteshirt looks great on you! i never did find it and the other one I asked you about fit horribly!
ReplyDeleteOh no!!! Wish we could win them all, right?!! I can't tell you how many times I have lusted after something I've seen online, planned tons of outfits with it in my head and then go to try it on and find that it looks terrible on me. So sad. Luckily, there will always be more fish in the sea, right?! =)
DeleteThose primary colors all look awesome together - what a fun ootd! And yep, I had to get the Joppa heels this morning too - GIDDY - so happy they were marked down, it seems like we didn't have to wait too long for them to go to sale.
ReplyDeleteI know! I was so shocked to see them hit sale already...but I'm not complaining! =) Can't wait to see how you style them!
DeleteLoving the bright colors together. For some reason I did not get the notice about the 20% off so I missed out, but luckily I have my birthday discount to use yet this month. I'm eyeing the AG stevie's and the green dress. I love the fall too. Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteLove birthday discounts!!! Love your picks...that green dress has been hard to resist but I'm gonna try to hold out for sale. I think it'll make it. Happy Birthday to you this month, by the way!
DeleteLove your colorful outfit! I'm definitely in the layering mode. It's taking my thin skin a hot minute to get use to these cool mornings...and I've always lived in the mid-west! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Leah! It was 40 degrees here this morning...fall is definitely here!
Deletelove love your bright and colorful outfit! I passed on the 20% off sale but did pick up the native birds dress this morning. And I'm still eyeing those joppa pumps but haven't pulled the trigger. I just don't know how much use I'll get out of them- I don't have a lot of orange in my closet to justify their purchase. But they are so adorable. Can't wait to see how you style them!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jess! Yay for scoring your dress on sale...and you would totally rock those pumps, girl! The enabler in me says go for it! =)
DeleteOoh, I snagged the Joppas this morning too! Only thing on my wishlist that made it to sale. Couldn't be happier about that. SO jealous, reading about actual 4 seasons in Ohio! What a novel idea! Actual seasons! I've been in TX too long, girl! Love your color partay outfit.
ReplyDeleteThanks Molly! Oh, so glad you got the pumps too...now i can see how you style yours and get some ideas!!! =)
DeleteNew reader here, and I love all of your color combos! I'm also a military officer's wife, so I can sympathize with the wardrobe adjustments that each move brings. :) enjoying the 4 seasons in CO after NC!
ReplyDeleteHi! Thanks for stopping by! Yes, you can definitely relate...it's a little bit of a pain, but kinda fun too, all wrapped into one, right?! =)
