So here we are, 5 days before the packers come, 1 day before my in-laws come into town, 2 days before my husband's graduation, and I'm on a 24 hour-a-day throw-up watch with my youngest. He can't seem to keep anything down. In between trying to keep him content and cleaning up "incidents" I'm working on packing our bags to live out of for the next three weeks and finishing up cleaning out our house in general. I've just about finished packing my bags, and just finished up the boys' laundry to pack them up today. I really forgot how much work it is to move. And oh my gosh, it's so much harder to move with three mobile, big enough to make really big messes, kids! Last time we did this I had a three year old who was pretty good about containing his mess to one spot, and a 10 month old who was the most chill baby ever. Fast forward five years...not the case. I love my kids to death, but wow, this is challenging! Add in the throw-up incidents (which have increased my laundry loads by about 4 extra loads) and it's a total party! And by the way, happy first day of summer! We're sticking close to home. Air conditioning and a toilet close by. =)
Last weekend my best friend threw a good bye party for our family...it was so nice of her and her husband to do and a lot of fun to hang out with some of the people we'll miss the most. It was over 100 degrees out that day so I pulled out a short sleeve top and shorts for the occasion:
What I Wore:
Art of Pursuit Top-Anthropologie
AG Malibu Bermuda Shorts-via eBay
Seychelles "Keep you Guessing" Sandals-Piperlime
Drawing Room Necklace-Anthropologie
Bracelets-J Crew Factory and Gap Outlet
Earrings-Banana Republic
Flower Bud Ring-J Crew
LOVE this top! It's so lightweight...perfect for summer. I'm also really loving these shorts. I scored them for $30 on eBay, brand new! They're $138 at Anthro right now...thinking I scored big. They're the perfect length and really comfortable.
I'm off to dive back into the fun...suitcases are calling.
Have a great day!
So sorry that your little one is sick right now - and I know the timing is less then ideal - fingers crossed that it doesn't cycle through anyone else - hang in there! You look adorable in this outfit - that necklace and those shoes were meant for each other, adorable! Very sweet deal on your shorts too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jan! Hoping tomorrow is the day things start looking up for my little one!
