Hello Love...

Here's how the convo went down between hubs and I a few days ago:

Hubs: "So, are we even acknowledging our anniversary this year?" (Back story--we have plans that have to do with something other than our anniversary on Saturday--which is our actual anniversary day)

Me: "Uh, ya!"

Hubs: "I mean we have that thing on Saturday night...and we're going on that vacation by ourselves in July...that counts right?"

Me: "That's our graduation trip...not an anniversary trip.  Nice try." (smirking)

Hubs: "I mean I want to celebrate our anniversary but.........."

Me (coming to the rescue the best way I know how): "How about I go order a pair of shoes for myself and we'll call it good."

Hubs: "You'd do that anyways!" (he laughs)

Me: "Hey, I'm giving you an out here...take it or leave it dude!" (laughing back because I know he knows me all too well)

Hubs: "K, deal.  Happy Anniversary!"

And that's how these gorgeous little things ended up on my doorstep this afternoon.

Miss Albright can do no wrong.
(Please excuse the sock lines...I didn't wait for them to disappear to try these on!)

Thanks babe...I love them!  But I love him more...just so you know. =)

You should also know that hubs is actually a pretty good gift giver when he wants to be.  Last year he surprised me with a trip to Tiffany to pick out something fun.  Last year was the big 10 year anniversary though...apparently the 11th year is only shoe worthy.

I don't mind one bit.  I'll take it!  =)

Have a great weekend!

  4. My husband's and my anniversary is tomorrow, too! Happy Cinco de Mayo! Ha ha. We had no idea when we set the date that it was on a holiday. Tomorrow's our 5th wedding anniversary. The Lord has really blessed us these 5 years. We have a precious 18-month-old daughter, bought our first house, have wonderful jobs, live at the beach, have a 3-year-old toy poodle, and have another baby on the way (due in mid-November). To celebrate this year, we went to Italy for 10 days in March. I told hubby that every 5 years, we need to go on an international trip. For our 10 year, we're going to Thailand. Tiffany rocks, too.

    1. Happy Anniversary to you too!! It's the perfect day to have an anniversary...it's a holiday so it's easy to remember, but not a big holiday for us do I don't have to really share the day with anything, and there's always good deals for dinner!! Score! Your travels sound fantastic! Lucky girl!

    1. You should definitely give them a try Jess! They come in whole sizes only which threw me off a bit. I am always an 8.5 in Miss Albright so I was worried the 38 (US 8) would be too small and the 39 (US 9) too big. The reviews said the front strap was tight so I decided to get a 39 and they fit perfect. I personally didn't find the front strap to be too tight but I have pretty narrow feet. They are not loose by any means but don't hurt or anything. I would say try your regular size if you are a whole size normally and you have narrow feet, size up if you are a half size normally and have narrow feet, and size up possibly if you are a whole size normally with wide feet. Let me know what you think if you give them a try! Good luck!

  7. Love the shoes! Happy Anniversary:) That is a cute story - sounds like my husband and I. I have to be very blunt with him sometimes (as in, "tomorrow is Valentines day. You have to get me something sweet."). Haha!
