The clock is ticking...

Happy start of the new week!  We are down to just three weeks of school until the summer break begins, and I couldn't be happier.  I'm so excited for the 6:30am alarm clock to be turned off for a few months!  Another thing we're counting down around here is the number of days left until my youngest brother comes home from his mission he's serving for our church.  He has been in Cleveland Ohio the past two years (so random that he went to Ohio since I'm moving to Ohio in less than two months) and will return home this Thursday!  My boys are so excited to see him.  If that's not enough excitement, hubby and I are also counting down the days until we head to Ohio to house hunt.  We had planned on renting again when we moved, however just a few days ago we made the decision to buy a home this time around instead and I couldn't be more excited!  I have missed being a homeowner, so I'm thrilled to find something to call our own, once again.  And of course the BIG clock continues to count down the time we have left here in CA and in my husband's residency...we're at T-minus 40 days!  So much excitement, yet so bittersweet all rolled into one.  Lots of clocks ticking around here these days...

I thought I'd do a little PSA along with my outfit share today...anyone remember this little gem:

Anyone else buy it and have it break on them like me and three of my friends?  Seriously, 4 of us all had broken necklaces, some of us multiples!  I returned my broken necklace (that was strung on thread) hoping that the problem would be fixed in the next wave of necklaces since they were on back order online.  A month or so passed and finally I received my new Tarn Necklace in the mail.  The first thing I did was take a look at how it was strung...and guess what!  They actually fixed it!  The necklace is now strung on wire.  Good move Anthro.  Way to be problem solvers!  Thanks for helping me finish my outfit last week:

  2. Hi Jenni, only 8 days for me until my move, I cannot wait. The move part is a lot of work but it will all be worth it. And, it's summer so we both have time to get settled and set up. I love your OOTD really cute. Love how you belted the shirt. Good luck on your house hunt in Ohio and we'll chat after my move.

  3. Very cute as always and good to know about the necklace. A new adventure is always exciting and I hope that you like the midwest. I'm orginally from Wisconsin but now live outside of DC. Also wanted to mention that I too have been looking for swimsuits and found a cute striped tankini & bottoms on the Ann Taylor Loft website. It might be worth checking out. Hope you have a great week!

  6. Jenni,

Did you purchase the Tarn Necklace online? I was at my local Anthro today, and noticed that the Tarn necklaces there, are still strung on thread. I want to purchase one, just want one that doesn't all apart on me. :)

    1. Yes, I purchased mine online this time around. I would definitely go that route. The threaded one WILL break! Good luck!

  7. I had read the reviews on this necklace and feared ordering for that reason...but tried one on in-store the other day and was pleasantly surprised too to see wire! Love your outfit today! All your clocks a-tickin' have me wishing we had something to count down for...closer than 2 years from now!! I'm so excited for you...change is good. Finishing residency...even better! Wahoo! Congrats! Yay for your bro coming home too! Happy times for you. Good luck on the house shopping. how's the market there?
