Someone's in a yellow mood...

Happy Wednesday!!! Hope the middle of the week is treating everyone good! It was a beautiful sunny day here today (still cold, but not 33 degrees cold) so I took advantage of it by deciding to break away from my winter uniform which always seems to include skinny jeans and boots. Don't get me wrong, I love my skinny jeans and boots, but it's been a while since I broke out some wide leg jeans and heels. I read somewhere that wide leg jeans/trousers are making a huge comeback this year and I'm ok with that...it's fun to switch it up between wide leg and skinny pants. It prevents you from falling into a rut.

Today as I was getting dressed I started out with my shoes, which is something I never do. Since there was no rain in site I decided to pull out my new Seychelles Sweeping Stitch Heels. I'm like a little kid wanting to play with my new toy the second I get it! I couldn't wait to wear these pretties. I tried pairing a few different cardigans with my polka-dot tank but was ultimately drawn to this bright and sunny yellow color (again). I think this is day three of incorporating yellow into my outfit...here we go again!







We're headed to Red Robin for dinner tonight for my son's school fundraiser. After eating out so much on our vacation my husband and I vowed not to eat out at all last week (we usually eat out at least once a week so this was a challenge). We actually did it! On Saturday night my husband turned to me and said "Wow, we made it all week. Think we should go out to eat to celebrate?" Trust me, I was tempted! I'm actually pretty impressed we made it 11 days straight without going out. I'm happy to take a break tonight however and turn the cooking and dish washing over to someone else.

    I LOVE it! Both the Polyvore and the real life. I need to do this. You are making me regret not jumping on the Sweeping Stitches, but I am sticking to the plan. :)

    Adorable! Your new shoes are so cute! I'm definitely a fan of wide leg denim, I feel less self conscious in it. Your polka dot top totally just saved me a ton of time on Polyvore - hooray that we found each other over there, too :)

    i can't wait for wide leg denim. i've been scouring for something out of the norm.
    i like all the colors you put together here. and i always get the bleu ribbon burger at red robin. worth every calorie.

    So cute and so jealous of those shoes! TDF. I've definitely been wearing my wide-leg/trouser denim lately after stealing a pair from my sister that she never wore. It's a nice change from skinnies, I agree. Flattering too!

    The turquoise and yellow are so great together and such a nice pop of color during a drab cold winter!
    I still wear my wide leg/boot leg pants - some things just never go out of style.

    Good for you going 11 days without going out to eat... I don't think I could do it. Well, maybe if we had cereal for dinner sometime in there :) Ha...good thing I don't have children yet!
    Love the outfit today. We are getting tons of snow this winter and I'm so ready for spring and warmer temps! I can only wear boots and coats for so long!!
