Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great Halloween! My little munchkins raked in the candy and I have definitely eaten my share so far...bad!! Yesterday I tried a new look....flat boots and knee-high socks with a dress for church. I never wear flat anything to church...I always wear heels so this was something different. I was going to wear just a pair of ballet flats but with the white bandage wrapped around my swollen ankle it looked like I was wearing a white sock with my shoe and it looked ridiculous so I moved onto boots. I actually didn't mind the way this look came out...it just felt weird not wearing heels!

Do you wear flat boots with skirts or dresses?? I've seen tons of people do it and love the way they look when they do but I guess I just never thought it would look that good on me. I'm still not totally sold but I guess having a bum ankle gave me good reason to try it out. I may go for it again. =)
This week is going to be a bit of a challenge...trying to get my ankle to heal while chasing after three boys is no easy task. I'm trying to take it easy as much as I can. We'll be doing a lot less running around and a little more hanging out at home. I made a trip to the grocery store this morning and hobbled around slowly getting everything I would need for the week so hopefully I'm set. I should take this down time to catch up on my family blog (which is completely neglected) and make a blog book, learn how to use Polyvore, and start making my Christmas shopping lists. So many things! I also can't help but wonder if there's going to be a good sale at Anthro tomorrow...I've got my wish list ready if so! =)
Have a great day!
Flat boots and dresses is my favorite thing to wear. I probably wear it too much, but it's just so darn comfortable! You look fantastic! You should wear boots and dresses more often!
ReplyDeleteYou definitely pull off this look well! I think I'm too short for it, but I love it too much to really care that much, ha! I hope your ankle is holding up for you!
ReplyDeleteI wear my almost-flat boots with skirts and dresses all the time (they have maybe an inch wedge) It is a comfy change from being in heels all of the time:) I think you look super adorable! I have a similar cardigan, but its from Loft last year!
ReplyDeleteI just started wearing flat (small wedge) boots with dresses and skirts but I only think it looks ok with SOME of my skirts (either knee length or shorter, or fuller). The balance seems off to me in longer, straight skirts. I think your outfit looks fantastic though. I love the blue shade of your dress. So cheery!
ReplyDeleteyou look totally cute! i have no idea what i would do if i couldn't wear heels! its funny cause i hate to wear flats but i think everyone else looks so cute in them! love the socks, nice touch!

i agree. it's weird to wear heels with a dress to church. i had to do that a couple of weeks ago and my ego was bruised. i'm known for my sky high heels.
ReplyDeletei meant flats and a dress. i'm lame.
ReplyDeleteYou look cute in flat boots Jenni! And I've eaten far too much candy myself. I bought a bag for trick or treaters and then we didn't get a single one.
ReplyDeleteflat boots! yippee!!
ReplyDeleteYou look so great with the flat boots, totally need to repeat that look!! I hope your poor ankle heals up fast!
ReplyDeleteI'm on my feet all day so I always wear flats or a very very modest heel (1-2 inch at most) I think you look super cute and that blue is so pretty on you!
