Continuing on with the dress/skirt theme this week...I took my son to school this morning and was talking to one of the other moms while we waited for the bell to ring. Her daughter came up and said hi...I told her I thought her dress was cute. She responded with this:
"I like your dress too! You look like the Candy Corn Witch!"
Her mother looked at me in horror and explained that what she had just said was actually a compliment...apparently a Candy Corn Witch is a new costume out this year?? I was laughing so hard...she was just too cute! Kids..they are just so honest. So for the rest of the day I walked around feeling like a candy corn. How festive, right??!!

I don't know that I've ever worn this many dresses/skirts this many days in a row before...it's been kinda fun! Maybe I'll change things up tomorrow...maybe not. We'll see!
This afternoon I took a little trip to Old Navy to pick up the red jacket and got it for a whopping $4.01 after using the coupon and a rewards card I had. I decided to use the second coupon I had to get the yellow jacket...I just couldn't pass it up for the price...I can't wait to wear it! So I walked out of there with two cute jackets for a grand total of $39. Can't beat that!
So glad tomorrow is Friday...and it'll be October! Woo hoo!! Fall is sure to arrive sooner than later now, right?!! We're headed to get the kids their Halloween costumes tomorrow night...didn't get around to it today like I had planned. The older two are all about Star Wars this year and my youngest is gonna be a pirate. He gets whatever I find in the 18-24 month bucket in the garage so pirate it is! Hand-me-downs are the curse of being the third boy...poor guy. He'll be a darn cute pirate though!
Happy first day of October!!!
