TOP 10 SPRING MUST-HAVES

There are so many great trends out there for spring right now...if you're wondering which ones you should get on board with and which to ditch, take a look at my list and see what you're wardrobe is missing!

Spring Must Haves

1.
Lace Detailing

Lace is a trend that was huge last spring and I'm so excited to see it's back! I love the feminine touch it adds to any outfit. The Nellore Blouse from Anthropologie is absolutely stunning and super versatile...it'll look just as amazing tucked into a skirt as it will when you wear it untucked with jeans.    Must-have!!!

2.
Gold Tone Statement Necklace

I love a great statement necklace and this one definitely makes an impression. I've only had this Long Gold Goddess Necklace from Piper Street  for a few weeks but have already worn it a ton...it goes with EVERYTHING! Dresses, sweaters, tees...it's a great, inexpensive way to add a little extra something to your outfit.

3.
Distressed Jeans

While I love a great pair of clean crisp denim, I've become a huge fan of distressed jeans! While the boyfriend fit is pretty popular at the moment, I have just never liked the way it looks on me. I've been on the hunt for a slimmer version that don't drown my smaller frame and am so excited to have finally found some! The J Crew Factory Skinny Jean in Distressed Wash are my new go-to's for what I call "skinny boyfriends". These are exactly what I've been looking for! I found these jeans to run true to size (I took a 25) and am already contemplating getting a second pair...they're that fab!!

4.
Bold Bags

When I think of spring I think of lots of color, so naturally that means I need a bright, bold bag to carry everything in, right?! The "Emerson Place Small Phoebe" bag from Kate Spade is just perfection! Fuchsia is one of my most favorite colors of all time so of course I'm quite tempted by this beauty.

5.
Striped Midi Dress

Midi dresses are one of my favorite types of dresses to wear. I found this striped number by Eleven Paris at ShopBop and think it's going to be a year-round staple in my closet! Right now ShopBop is holding it's Family and Friends sale so you can get 25% off your purchase with code 'SPRING25" (hurry...sale ends tonight)...added bonus!  I took this dress in a size X-Small and it fit great...even a little on the loose side I'd say, but not too big. In the spring it's fantastic worn with sandals and bright accessories and in the winter it will look great layered and with tights...super versatile!

6.
Neutral Sandals

If there's one thing I can't ever seem to get enough of it's neutral colored shoes...in particular neutral colored sandals!  I can't help myself...they go with everything! When I came across the Dolce Vita "Nakita" heeled leather sandals I fell in love...HARD! These are my must-have summer sandal!!  Right now they're on sale at Nordstrom (price matching ShopBop's sale) so it's a great time to add them to your cart. I plan to wear these with midi shorts, dresses, skirts, rolled denim...anything and everything I can! Just FYI--I took these in a size 8 which is a half-size smaller than I normally take so I felt they ran slightly big.  I guarantee if you get these you'll be thanking me. =)

7.
Bright Swimsuits

Swimsuit season is upon us and it's time to bring out the brights!!  I found this gorgeous geranium colored Kate Spade bow front one piece suit and LOVE it! It's so flattering and unique!  I'm also loving Target's affordable selection of swimsuits this year and found THIS bright coral option that would look great on almost everyone! Coral really is a universally flattering color! Another place I love to look for swimsuits is Albion Fit. They are more expensive but the quality is really great.

8.
Fringe Details

Fringe is one of the biggest trends of the season and although I admit it took me a little longer than some to jump on board the bandwagon, now I'm all in! I found this Fringe Crossbody Bag at Nordstrom for under $30 and have used it a ton! You never know how long a trend will be around so finding inexpensive options to insert into your wardrobe is a great way to try a trend out without breaking the bank.

9.
Pastel Spring Sweaters

I have been so into spring sweaters this year! I'm loving everything in soft pastel colors and am head over heels for the "Chelsea" sweater at Piper Street (also comes in white HERE). This sweater is perfection paired with distressed jeans and cognac sandals....love!!

10.
Citron

One color I just can't seem to get enough of this spring is citron (or lime green as some call it). I keep finding items to add to my wardrobe in this color but perhaps my favorite find so far has been these pumps from Kristin Cavallari Copertina D 'Orsay pumps by Chinese Laundry. The bold pop of color on my feet in an outfit really amps up any look. I also love the idea of citron skirts, jewelry and perhaps a cute top.  Let's be honest...I'll take it anyway it comes!!!

So there's my roundup of what you need in your closet this spring and into early summer.  The great thing about most of these is you can find options at any price range! You can update your wardrobe each season for as little or as much as you want!

What are your must-haves this spring? I'd love to hear!!

xoxo,
Jenni
