Girls Night Out Outfit

Every once in a while the spouses of my husband's dental squadron get together for dinner and girl talk.  This past week we met up at a Thai restaurant downtown and enjoyed an evening out.   Since we just moved here this was my first time going and meeting some of the other wives.  It was a lot of fun and even though Thai food isn't my all-time favorite, my dinner was actually really good!  Good food and good company...score!  There were actually quite a few of us that had just moved here so it was fun to hear where everyone had come from and what other places they had been.  I even got to meet a lady who just moved here from England that knows my bro-in-law and sis-in-law who are also stationed in England right now...small world!

After my little outing at The Limited the other day I decided to wear one of the new tops I purchased:

Silk Shine Tee-The Limited/ 1969 Always Skinny Jeans-Gap/  Mixed Media Heels-Anthropologie/ Kulfi Strands Necklace-Anthropologie/ Bracelets-J Crew Factory and Gap Factory/ Double Hoop Earrings-Banana Republic/ Flower Bud Ring-J Crew

This was the first time I wore my Mixed Media Heels as well and they were super comfortable...highly recommend these!

Anyone have any big plans for the 3-day weekend?  We are suppose to get some rain so we may be staying indoors more than usual.  We have a few more things to put together for the house before we have our first guest come next week so that will keep us busy too.  So excited to have my BFF in town!!!  I feel like I've been unpacking and putting things together for soooo long, but we've only been in the house just over a month so I guess it's not been that long yet.  I just unpacked the LAST box yesterday...so happy that's done!  I guess I do have two more boxes of files in my office but the movers destroyed our filing cabinet so I have no where to put those yet.  Guess I should go look for a new filing cabinet this weekend!

Hope you have a great three-day weekend!

PS--I'm not quite ready to post the items I will be selling yet, so stay tuned...still to come!

  2. Love that shirt and necklace together! I've wanted that necklace forever! Now that Anthropologie is having a Labor Day Sale on sale items, I'll have to order it. Did you pick up any items with the extra 25% off sale?

  6. cute outfit! glad you are getting acquainted in your new community. I noticed ( altho i have not worn them yet) that my arch does not touch down on the shoe at all.... if i look behind the side flap I can see a large gap between the bottom of my arch and the bottom of the shoe ( I have a high arch). Does yours do that?? I am wondering if there is an arch pad available to put in it.

    1. Thanks Barbara! I don't seem to have that problem with the shoes but I bet if you get a shoe insert you could fix it pretty easy. I'd just get a Dr Scholls insert or something. Those have worked well for me in other shoes in the past. Good luck!
