Rewind...what I wore on Easter Sunday

Last day of spring break for us here today...sadly my house is ready for spring break to end.  My kids home 24/7=disaster!  It's going to take me a while to recover I fear...lots of laundry to do, floors to vacuum and mop, bathrooms to clean, etc etc etc.  I have loved spring break and am sad to see it end, but it is definitely easier to keep a clean house when school is in, that's for sure!

Did you have a good Easter?  We had a great day and even got some family pictures snapped in our Easter best.  We weren't going to bother with it at all but when I saw the neighbor lady walking by our driveway just after we pulled in from church I decided to corner her and ask her if she would be willing to take a few pictures for us.  She was nice enough to oblige and quickly snapped three pictures for us before we rushed off to dinner with friends.  We always take three pictures...at least two of the three never turn out good...am I right?!

Here's what I wore for Easter Sunday:

What I Wore:
Knotted Scarves Tank-Anthropologie
Eunice Cashmere Cardi-Anthropologie
Rah-Rah-Rumba Skirt-Anthropologie
Split Surface Belt-Anthropologie
Enzo Angiolini "Sully" Platform Pumps-Nordstrom
Maple Memories Indie Necklace-Ruche
Acoma Earrings-Anthropologie
Beachcombing Bracelet-Anthropologie
Flower Bud Ring-J Crew

I really liked how this outfit came together and am more and more glad all the time that I decided to purchase this gorgeous lilac cashmere sweater last month.  I've found so many ways to incorporate it into my wardrobe!  The only downside of this look was the fact that it wasn't an exact match to the rest of the family, but I think a little extra color didn't look all that bad.

Here's me and the men in my life:

My hubby does have some yellow in his tie that my top matches, and little did I know #2 was holding a  yellow plastic egg, so I guess I totally blend in now.  Phew! =)

Since it is the last day of spring break I'll be ignoring all those chores I mentioned above for just 24 more hours to have a little fun.  We're hitting the gym in the morning (my kids love going to their kid's club!) and then we're planning on taking a little trip over to Napa for some fun in the sun with friends.  Gotta live it up while we can!

Hope your week gets off to a great start!

  2. Lovely outfit and a even more lovely family. My baby boy spit up all over himself (and me) before I got my family photo taken. Oh well, welcome to live with a newborn :-)

    1. Thanks! Oh, how I remember those days. Thankfully I can buy clothes now without worrying about who will spit up on me. I still have to worry about being spilled on though...not sure when that ever ends! =)

  8. Your family picture turned out awesome! I love using the tripod/remote these days...because 3 pictures? That would never cut it around here, I need a good 15+ shots to get something usable, lol. Your kiddos are so handsome, and you look beautiful in your Spring colors. Glad you enjoyed Spring Break!
