Friday Fun

Hi all! Happy Friday! I'm so happy the weekend is here! We'll be starting the Halloween partying a little early tonight as we'll be going to our church's Harvest Festival and Trunk-or-Treat. My kids can hardly contain their excitement! It's so fun to see them get excited about the holidays...I get that same twinge of excitement still too, even at 31 years old. There's just something about the fall holidays that just never seems to get old.

So yesterday I busted out one of my sale purchases from last week...my new Sulfur Plum AG Stevies. To say these are colorful is an understatement, but that's why I love them! Because I didn't think they were colorful enough on their own I decided to pair them with some yellow shoes. Just in case someone didn't see me coming with the purple pants, alone. =)

Here's the set with items listed:

Purple and grey

And in real life:

These jeans are super comfortable, I have to say. They are very similar in fit and comfort to my Pilcro colored denim, so I'm not sure why the prices are so vastly different. Thankfully I scored mine at 40% off so it was a good deal, for AG's anyways.

So in my inbox this morning I had an email waiting for me from Piperlime with my $25 off a $75 purchase discount code. Apparently if you made a purchase last month for a certain amount you were offered this special deal this month. I ended up getting it because I purchased my Hunter rain boots through Piperlime. I also have some more rewards cards coming to me from the Gap Inc company so between those and this fun discount I just may be able to score a great deal on something! I have been looking into the possibility of adding some sort of ankle length bootie (maybe a little taller) to my closet but just haven't taken the plunge yet since it was still so warm out and there wasn't any need for them quite yet. Now that the weather is dipping into the 40's in the morning I'm thinking fall and winter may actually be on their way so I think now would be a great time to look into it. I started looking around Piperlime and picked out a few possible options...

Kadeer by BCBGeneration

Nomads by Nine West

Selma 03 by Gomax

They are all a bit out of the box for me but kinda fun! I think they'd be great paired with any type of jeans..perfect for cold weather. Do you like any of these or are they a bit much for you? What do you think?

Hope you all have a great weekend! I plan on it!

  4. I have been looking for that Cardigan for over a year. It's still in my Anthro Wish List. I even set up an eBay search. Nothing. This is the first time I have ever seen anyone wearing it. If you ever want to sell your Deco Page Cardi please contact me.

  5. I like the first ones with the faux fur - a little out of the box but fun!
I saw this set on polyvore before I saw it here and I love it! Great jeans.

  6. I love the whole outfit!! The AG's look fabulous on you. I agree about the price point compared to the Pilcro's but I feel the Pilcro's stretch out a lot more than the AG's...making the AG's a better quality denim. Or at least that is what I felt when I wore my Pilcro's the other day :)

  7. I've been looking at shoes like that and based my decision on whether I wanted them to look refined or more casual. The blockier and stockier they are, I figured they wouldn't work for me because I'm short. I ended up w/a shootie that has a stacked heel -- some space between the footbed & heel. I've been looking for awhile, though. So many choices out there!

I would love to see a closeup pic of the Seychelles shoes. I'm curious about the exact shade of yellow.
