I looked like a rainbow today...

Hi there! Hope your week is going good so far...mine has been pretty good--busy, but good. Happy Fall, by the way! It's officially fall so I'm hoping the weather lady on the morning news this morning wasn't making empty promises when she said we could say good bye to the 100 degree weather by Sunday...hoping for 70's and 80's soon! This morning I got up with no plan of what I was going to wear (bad) but luckily came up with something quickly when I looked in my closet. I started throwing my outfit together and by the time I was done I looked into the mirror and had to laugh...I mean, how many colors can one wear in one look? Apparently like 9 or 10...I counted.

-Tie-back Tank-Anthropologie
-BP Three-quarter sleeve cardigan-Nordstrom
-Cropped Jeans-J Crew Outlet
-Seychelles "Purr" Wedge Sandals
-Torsade Necklace-Anthropologie
-Bardot Hoop Earrings-Stella & Dot
-Bracelet-Silpada (gift from my parents)
-Ring-Pree Brulee

I literally felt like a rainbow threw up on me, but I actually kinda liked it. I like embracing makes life a little more fun on an otherwise typical Thursday.

I was watching TV last night and came across a TJ Maxx commercial (I was actually watching something live for once instead of off my DVR) with a fashion blogger as the main person in the commercial. I went to my computer to look her up and see what her blog was all about...and it's so cute! I especially liked her because she's wearing the cute yellow Seychelles Booties that I'm lusting after right now in one of her recent posts. Have you checked her out yet? Her name is Lindsay Calla and her blog is Saucy Glossie. Check her out! She's a NY girl with some fun fashion ideas.

Anyone have any big plans for the weekend? We have our last Saturday morning soccer game of the season, I have plans with a few friends to go see "The Help", and my bro-in-law will be here for a night visiting from London. Wish the rest of the family could have come but the kids will have fun jumping all over "Uncle Jake" for a night regardless. Come back tomorrow..I'll have a fun coupon code to share with you, created exclusively for "Found in My Closet" readers for a jewelry site I was just introduced to...take a looksie and see what you love: Sheyna Jewelry

I'm off to get my kiddos in bed and settle in for a night of must-see-TV...lots of great season premiers tonight! Plus Project Runway...yay!

  1. I really like the colorful ensemble! I say the more color the better!!!

I'll have to go check out Saucy Glossie. I've seen the TJ Maxx commercial and was curious about her blog.

  2. I love your outfit! So colorful and I agree with Kelly, the more color the better! I really wish I would have bought that necklace! It seems to go with so many items you wear. Thanks for posting about Saucy Glossie. I will check that out. Enjoy your weekend! :)

  3. this is a perfect send off to summer (because summer is leaving soon, right? right?!)

  4. Hey Jenni!! You look fabulous! I love the many colors :)
So I got the leopard flats from Piperlime this week - the pattern was PERFECT but the fit was off for me. I shouldn't have paid attention to reviews that said order 1/2 size down; however, if I had ordered my regular size, they would be too wide. I hope you have better luck with the sizing if you decide to go for it! :)

  5. Thanks ladies! =)

Erin--Thanks for the review...I'll keep that in mind. Too bad they didn't work...the seacrch continues I guess! =)

  6. You pull off the rainbow look well! I just feel like a giant clown when I try to wear very much color :)

  7. I saw that commercial too! And there is nothing wrong with looking like a rainbow...I do it all the time!

  9. I've seen the blogger on the TJ Maxx comml, but haven't had a chance to look her up. Thanks for sharing. She's very cute. You look cute and like 16 years old so the rainbow is working for ya :)

  10. You might look like a rainbow, but you are such A PRETTY Rainbow!! Love love that long tunic, truly beautiful and unique. The cobalt blue cardigan looks awesome with it. =) Also, nice wedges. I love wedges from May-Mid October. =)
