Today my husband called me from work to see if I wanted to go with him to Las Vegas next month since he has a conference to attend. Um, YES! But hello, we have kids! After thinking about it a little, and talking to my parents (who so graciously agreed to watch my little monsters for us while we're away) I called my husband back and told him I was in! I think he was a little shocked I actually decided to come, and I must admit, I was a little nauseous telling him I would go (I just get nervous leaving my crew home). Our 10 year wedding anniversary is in May and we had planned on getting away for a weekend to celebrate sometime that month, so I guess we're just moving the party up a little early (and to Vegas)! Anyhow, I now have a fun little getaway to look forward to (and to plan outfits for)! My husband asked me what I'll do to keep myself busy while he's at his conference...oh good heavens, SO MUCH! Sleep in, go to the gym, go shopping, get a massage, go shopping again...I told him not to worry. I'm sure I'll find plenty of things to do to keep myself busy. I'm thinking a "Vegas Budget" may need to be created for the occasion. =)

Since it's Monday night I have a date with my DVR...The Bachelor and Gossip Girl!! Rumor has it this week's Anthro sale is on hold till Wednesday...BUMMER! I was hoping for a price adjustment on my Volante Tee--my 14 days are up tomorrow. You just never know with Anthropolgie...I certainly wouldn't mind them surprising us with a sale tonight...here's to hoping!

Here's to the start of a new month...bring on February!

  1. WOW how come I never get conferences in Vegas? That's awesome and it'll be so much fun. I'd be totally excited too. I am watching the Bachelor as we speak and OMG Michelle is just so freakin' weird!!!

  2. I just realized it right now that it's officially February. I can't believe January just flew by! Feels like it was just last week that the ball dropped happy new year. Anyway the whole idea of your trip sounds super exciting and fun! Wouldn't mind being in your shoes :) I've never been to Vegas, but I'm sure you'll have wonderful time!

You're looking cute by the way (why didn't I pick up that top during the Thanksgiving promo?!)

  3. That sounds like a blast! Me and the hubs are planning on doing an overnighter for our anniversary in March. I'm so excited for just one night. I couldn't imagine a weekend or week. Love your outfit today! I always love your outfits though. I'll be glad if Anthro doesn't have a sale tonight. I've been trying to save up my fun money for the Sing Sweetly Party dress and if something tempted me from a sale that would set me back a few weeks. Anthro sales always suck me in.

  6. I went to Reno/Tahoe in OCT. I am like you too, I was sick to my stomach but once I was on the plane I relaxed and had a fab time.I always hate leaving my kids and don't do it very much. We're headed to Vegas this Summer. You will have a great time, I've been many times, the mall gets an A+++ they have a J Crew and an Anthro (although I think that may be located at a diffent shopping venue) It will be fun to plan your wardrobe and I can't wait to see the OOTD's.
