My February Wish List (and a few things that I'll be stalking until they hit sale)

It's almost February so I put together my new wish list for the new month. There are quite a few things on my radar but several of them will have to wait as I
1) Have a budget and 2) Refuse to pay full price for the majority of the items I'm lusting after. Many things on last month's wish list were passed up and even booted from the list as time has gone on but a few are still lingering. It's interesting how one minute I really feel like I want an item badly but after waiting for a long period of time for it I don't feel as strong of a desire to own it. Other beautiful things come along and take precedence. That being said, if said items hit sale I might get weak in the knees for them all over again...you never know. So without further ado, here is my February wish list:

And here are some items that I would love to try on and possibly own, but don't plan on owning them soon as most are brand new releases. I'll be waiting for them to hit sale before, and if I pull the trigger:

And a few more for good measure:

So there you have it...anything I missed? Anything on my lists that you love? Hate? Any insight on any of them? Of course these are all "Wish Lists"...as in I WISH I could get them all but of course that's never gonna happen...and would be completely unnecessary. It's fun to pick out my favorites though!

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend! I for one am sad to see it end but look forward to a new week and month!

Saturday Adventures

Remember how I planned on staying in my pj's all day today? Well, that didn't happen! I woke up, went for a run in the freezing cold, showered and got ready for the day and then my husband and I loaded the kids into the car and headed out. We had no plan...we just decided to come up with a plan as we went. We ended up heading toward San Francisco. Along the way we found a Chuck-E-Cheese. My kids were in heaven when we decided to pull off the freeway and go in. It was busy, but it didn't matter..the boys loved it. I have to say, it was the biggest Chuck-E-Cheese I'd ever seen. The one that's closer to where we live is much smaller and not kept up as well so it was nice to find one that was a little nicer.

After we spent like 100 tokens we hopped back in the car and decided to keep going towards the city...over the Bay Bridge we went. We settled on having an early dinner at Buca di Beppo...LOVE that place! We got right in because it was early and had a great meal. Since we were in the city I couldn't help myself and told my husband if he really loved me he'd take me to Bi-Rite Creamery for dessert. Have you ever been there? No? Well, if you ever go to San Francisco you MUST GO!! Seriously, it's the best ice cream place I have ever been to and ever since having their ice cream I no longer fully enjoy anything else (I still love fro-yo and gelato but Dreyer's ice cream from the store is now not quite as appealing as it used to be). Anyhow, thankfully my husband has a soft spot for good ice cream (and me...he better!) and away we went. I got my favorite...the Vanilla with Peanut Brittle and Milk Chocolate Pieces. Oh my gosh, it's heavenly! In the words of Rachel Zoe (this is a fashion blog, after all), I die. It was the perfect way to end our day. After our bellies were full it was time to head home. It was a really fun, spontaneous day.

I did end up getting dressed today since we decided to head out...nothing too dressy though. This is my version of Saturday casual:

Details:
-Floral Frappe Top-Anthropologie (January 2011 purchase)
-Boyfriend Cardigan-Gap Outlet (Winter 2010)
-Skinny Jeans-Banana Republic
-Metallic City Flats-Gap (Fall 2010)
-Necklace-OLD
-Ring-American Eagle
-Earrings-Express

Hope you all had a great Saturday!

Field Game Friday

Once again it's my favorite day of the week! We don't have any big plans for the weekend..do you? It's suppose to be cold, overcast, foggy, and rainy...makes me want to stay home in my pj's, honestly! I've been playing on Polyvore a bit the past few days...I wish there was a way to find images of every single thing I own. I guess I could always take pictures and import...might be worth it. Getting dressed this morning was so easy because I put the outfit together on Polyvore last night while watching The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (yes, I've recently been watching it...guilty pleasure for sure). I rarely wake up with a plan in mind of what I'm going to wear so this was a nice, helpful change. The Field Game cardigan was one of my very first purchases from Anthropologie last summer...I love the uniqueness of it. I rarely wear cardigans buttoned up, and have actually never worn this one buttoned up before, but I thought I'd change things up and button it up today to show off the pretty lace trim even better.

Can't promise that the weekend will include any OOTD pictures from me...as mentioned before I may be locking myself in the house and staying in my pj's to keep warm. Maybe I'll start taking photos of my clothes to import to Polyvore to pass the time in between movie watching and lego building with my boys! =)

Have a great weekend!

January Breakdown--and a few items for sale!

So as the end of the month nears it's time to fess up and tell whether or not I stuck to my plan of staying on a budget or not. Up until this morning I was under budget! After this morning I tipped the scales just a tad (darn restock of sale items at J Crew anyways!)...here's how it all played out:

All in all after using coupons, rewards cards and scoring everything you see at a sale price, I was $10 over budget. I'm calling January a success regardless. I can handle $10 over. $50 over would have been a problem. This may sound dumb, but I'm really proud of myself for JUST ABOUT sticking to the budget I gave myself. Compared to my shopping habits in recent months, this month was definitely improvement. I plan on sticking to the same budget for the month of February. As spring lines start to pop up this budget is going to be harder and harder to stick to, I just know it. I'm gonna try my hardest to stick to the plan though...I really am.

I've had a giant pile of clothes to sell/giveaway/etc sitting in my room for a while now so I thought I'd offer a few of the items up here for sale. If there's no interest, no biggie. Just figured I'd give it a go.

Here's what I have for sale (Click on the Polyvore set to take you to the details of each item including sizes):

If you would like to purchase anything or have any questions feel free to email me at jensmith001@hotmail.com. All sales are final. Items will be shipped via USPS.

Lastly, I'll leave you with what I'm wearing today:

The necklace I actually wore is from Fossil and my ring is from Forever 21.

I've been eyeing lots of new arrivals online all over the place this morning...working on my February wish list!!! Are you??
