The Perfect White Distressed Denim

"Easton Top" - Piper Street / Paige Verdugo Petite Jeans -Anthropologie /
Dolce Vita Sandals - Nordstrom Rack / Clutch - c/o Gigi New York / Necklace - Piper Street / Bracelets - J Crew Factory (THIS and THIS) and Kendra Scott / Earrings - Francesca's (similar) / Rings - ASOS and J Crew Factory

I have been searching high and low for months now for the perfect pair of white distressed denim. I have a few criteria when it comes to distressed white denim...first of all, they can't be totally see-through...no one needs to see all that! Second, I look for the main distressing to be mostly around the knee area (not all up the leg). Lastly, I have somewhat oddly short legs for someone my height and have to buy petite length denim most times to accommodate my proportions. This can be tricky when searching for denim sometimes because not all denim comes in petite length! With these three criteria in mind and after ordering and trying on countless pairs of distressed white denim FINALLY I'm happy to say I've found the PERFECT pair! I am in love with my Paige Verdugo Petite Jeans from Anthropologie! They aren't too thin, not too distressed and just the right length...winner!! If you're looking for petite length denim these are definitely worth giving a try. I already had a love for Paige denim but now I love it even more!

And can I just say how much I'm loving this fun top from Piper Street? The gorgeous print and lace trim detailing is the cutest!!!  Check out all of Piper Street's latest New Arrivals HERE!!  And set your alarms because our next roll out of new items arrives tonight at 9pm EST!!  Don't miss it!

SUMMER MIDI

------------
Dress - Sonnet James
Jacket - J Crew Factory
Necklace - Piper Street (similar)
Bracelets - Piper Street (similar) and Baublebar
Earrings - similar
------------

Some days I wake up feeling like putting on shorts or jeans is just an impossible task....anyone else?  Those are the days my dress section in my closet becomes my friend. I wear dresses in the summer a ton...they are every bit as functional as wearing pants if you choose the right ones!  I find wearing maxi dresses or knee-length dresses to be the best options for my on-the-go lifestyle and love that you can dress them up or down as much as you want! A while back I picked up this dress from Sonnet James and I am loving not only these fun summer colors but the versatility it offers.  It's so easy to throw on a jacket to give this dress a totally different look too...either tying it around your waist for a more sporty look or wearing it with your sleeves rolled a bit for a casual look. Jeans jackets are my go-to for breezy summer nights!

Are you a midi-dress fan too? If you haven't tried one yet go for it! There are so many great options at all price points across the web! Below are a few of my faves right now:

THREE WAYS TO SPICE UP YOUR CASUAL WEAR

Necklace - Anthropologie (old)
Bracelets - J Crew Factory (one, two and three)
Rings - Baublebar (similar) and Wrenn Jewelry

Dressing up is always fun but so many days I'm just in the mood to be comfortable in a t-shirt and jeans.  But guess what...dressing down doesn't mean you can't look a little dressed up at the same time! Follow these three simple steps to spice up your casual wear the next time a t-shirt and jeans find their way to the front of your closet:

1. Pick a print--While a solid color tee is easy to throw on and matches so many things, search out a fun print to wear up top! Florals, stripes, polka dots...all these add an extra little something to a basic tee and can really elevate a casual look. I LOVE this cute tee from Anthropologie...it's easy to throw on but has such a pretty print that catches your eye!

2. Pop some color on your feet--One of the best ways to add a little pizazz to jeans and a tee is to add a pop of color on your feet! Whether you choose a bright neon shoe like these Steve Madden sandals or a darker bold hue, a little color goes a long way in boosting your look. Adding another layer of color on your piggies, if they show, always helps too!

3. Layer on the jewelry--Jewelry always adds another dimension to an outfit. Whether you wear a great statement necklace, layer multiple delicate chains and pendants, stack on a pile of colorful bracelets or mix and match metals and stones on your fingers, wearing jewelry with a causal outfit makes an otherwise plain look really stand out!  Remember editing is important, but let's be honest, the more jewelry the merrier!!

Follow these three tips and you'll glam up any casual look!

Are you a casual wear junkie? What's your favorite casual look to rock? I'd love to hear!
