Wearing: Emerald Green--the 2013 Pantone Color of the Year!

Happy Monday!

Since it's now 2013 I figured it was time to acknowledge the Pantone color choice of the year:

Emerald green was this year's winner and I have to agree, it's a great choice!  I don't have a ton of green in my closet, but I must have had a sixth sense when I purchased this Emerald green dress last year...now I can jump right on the Emerald Green bandwagon!

So what do you think of this year's Pantone Color choice?  Are you planning on incorporating Emerald green into your rotation?  I wouldn't mind adding a few more emerald green items to my closet...it really is a beautiful color!

I hope you all had a great weekend!  We enjoyed a relaxing few days, and I even managed to make it over to Anthropologie on Saturday night for a bit to make a few returns.  I tried on a handful of things but my store hasn't received their big January shipment yet so it was slim picking when it came to anything too new.  My favorite find of the night though, was this:

I  love the green colorway of this blouse (pictured above)...it's fab!  The smallest size they had on hand was a small and it was a pretty ok fit overall (a little baggy through the middle but not awful) but it was a bit long in the sleeves so I'd still like to try on the X-Small to compare.  I may stick with the small just to have the length...I liked the length of it and wouldn't want it to be much shorter.  At $118 I'll be waiting for this one to hit sale, but I already have lots of styling ideas in mind for it!

Can't wait to try on some more of the new arrivals I've been eyeing online when they come in to my local store!

What new items have you spotted lately that you're loving?  I'd love to hear!

PS--Are you watching the Bachelor tonight??  I can't wait! =)

    1. So Pantone is basically this company that specializes in color matching...every year they pro claim a certain color the "color of the year"... and we all listen! =) Thanks for stopping by!

  8. Oh, I tried that blouse on a few days ago and can't get my mind off of it! My store only had a M so I had to pass. I should wait for the sale too, but I am so tempted to go back today and order it. Can you really wait? You have more patients than I do!!

    1. hahah...I don't have a ton of patience, no, but I usually wait it out on anything over $100 when it comes to tops. It was super cute though...very tempting! =)

    2. I just got home and the whole time I was gone I kept thinking about how I used the wrong form of the word patience. I am so embarrassed! I hate when people do that and look at me! My phone wouldn't let me correct it either. Ugh!

I haven't come up with a budget yet. My husband said just spend what you normally would and we'll figure it out next month. I'm going to try not to take advantage of that. :)

    3. haha...I totally know what you mean...it drives me nuts that you can't correct things like that on your phone too! I've totally done that before (quite often actually)! I haven't done a budget yet either...I figure for now I just try to be semi good....whatever that means! =)

    1. I totally adore jewel tones...so pretty! SO Bachelor was interesting...looks to be a drama filled season as usual! I always cheat and read the spoilers and I was so surprised by who he chooses! I would have never guessed by the episode last night! Let's just say the girl who they're claiming wins got hardly any air time last night!

    2. Wow, really???? It's amazing how they always spin the beginning. That 50 Shade Chic's exit interview had me cracking up! What the??

Do you read his sister's blog? Love her, she has some interesting insight too, sounds like she already knows who wins. I am trying so hard not to read the spoilers but it's so hard because I am dying to know. It's going to be an exciting season! Can't wait for next Monday already.

    3. Seriously, that 50 Shades girl...wow! lol I haven't read her sister's blog...I should! I'd love to hear all the sides! =)

I too fell hard for the Mesilla Peasant Blouse, but in the other colorway. Definitely a sale purchase, but I absolutely love it.
