Black Friday Re-Cap!

Well, the Thanksgiving break is over and it was back to school bright and early in the fog these past few mornings...winter is coming! So I'm dying to know, how was everyone's Black Friday experience?? Mine was awesome! My best friend Elise and I left the house around 11pm Thursday night and I pulled into my driveway the next day around 4:30pm. 17 1/2 hours of fun-filled shopping, eating and laughing our heads off. We were just slightly sleep-deprived. We started out at 12 midnight at Toys-R-Us where there was just a short line to get in. Once in, we gathered what we wanted (things were slightly picked over since they opened at 9pm) and walked right up to the registers to check out. When we walked next door to get in the line to get into Target we about died when we saw how long it was....STILL at 12:45am! So we packed it up and headed to the next closest Target where it was much less busy. We spent about an hour there and stood in a line that was only about 10 minutes long to check out.

From there we headed over to Marin County where we planned on stopping in at a Starbucks for hot chocolate only to find it wasn't open (even though it said it was suppose to be when I checked online). This quickly became the theme for the night...places saying they would be open but they really weren't. We parked in a parking lot around 2:30am and decided to check out Anthro's online sale that was suppose to start at 3am EST. Lucky for us it actually ended up starting 30 minutes early! There we were, in an empty parking lot at 2:30am online shopping to get our 50% off sale items at Anthro. Crazy? Yes! Worth it? YES! We were both able to grab several things we were hoping for. I heard tons of people ended up getting cancelled orders from those middle of the night orders but luckily all of my items shipped, and all but one of my friend's shipped too.

After our little online adventures were done we headed to the mall we would spend the majority of the day at. We found an open Peet's Coffee store and grabbed some hot chocolate around 3:45am. The only store in the mall that was open at this point was Macy's so that's where we went. Delirium was starting to set in at this point and we had the best time just walking around picking "favorite Christmas presents" out for ourselves and just being silly. We took lots of pictures! Around 5am we set out to see if any other stores were open, since several had said they would be....Um, NO! Nothing. Well, Abercrombie was, but you know, not my first choice. We headed down to Anthro to see if there was a line yet for the 50% off sale items promo but found there were only a few others.

Finally when 6am arrived there was a bit of a crowd but still not bad. As the door opened my friend and I were the first ones in and got our tickets. Our plan was to head straight to the sale shoes and see what was there. I found one pair and Elise found 2. We browsed through the sales racks for about 30 minutes, grabbing what we saw and then headed to the dressing room. There were several racks outside the sale room as well as a packed sale room to look through. The selection was actually pretty good. I only waited about 5 minutes to get a dressing room. I noticed there was coffee or tea and muffins set out in the dressing room waiting area which I thought was a nice touch. The SA's were all super friendly and helpful and handled the growing crowds well. About an hour and a half later we got in line with our purchases...only waiting about 5 minutes to pay, and were on our merry way. We THOUGHT we were finished with Anthro...more on that later.

Here's a few of my favorite sale purchases I scored at 50% off either in-store or online...it's just hard to pass up when you're getting 75% off the retail price!!!

Blouse

Blouse (see more silk blouses)

Cardigan

Cardigan (see more cropped cardigans)

T shirt

T shirt (see more lace tops)

Skirt

Skirt (see more slim skirts)

Renewed Folds Pullover

Renewed Folds Pullover (clipped to polyvore.com)

Necklace

Necklace (see more metal jewelry)

Pumps

Pumps (see more platform pumps)

AG Stevie Ankle

AG Stevie Ankle (clipped to polyvore.com)

I'm fairly certain those AG Stevies being marked down 1/2 off the full price point online was a mistake, but I happily took advantage! They are back to full price now.

From there we hit up Gap, Banana Republic, Gap Kids, Janie and Jack (where I found some of my boys' Christmas clothes), William Sonoma, J Crew, Loft, Francesca's, Aveada and then decided to go back into Anthro one more time to try on some full price shoes. AT this point it was past the 11am mark when the 50% off had ended so we thought it would be a better time to go in and browse all the full-priced items. As we walked past the sale racks once more we ended up finding a few more items that were not out earlier in the morning! We were so baffled! We each found a few more items to purchase, and luckily were able to still get them at 50% of because a nice SA hooked us up with another ticket once we told him we had already been there once earlier. Lesson learned...always go back to see what else may be brought out!

After we finished up round 2 we did a walk-though at the shoe section at Nordstrom but neither one of us had the energy at that point to really care about trying anything on. Rare. We were super hungry and just needed a reboot of energy--STAT! So we decided we were done there and headed to lunch at PF Changs. YUM! It tasted so good! After lunch we headed next door where there was a Barnes and Noble. Elise had read online that they were having a sale that was "Buy any one educational toy for 50% off". She had wondered if this included legos so we checked it out. Oh yes, legos are considered educational folks! If you have kids that love legos than you know how expensive they can be and that they rarely go on sale for a very deep discount. When we realized we could score the BIG sets (like the $150 sets) for half off, we got a little crazy and obsessed. My friend was able to get one large set at that Barnes and Noble and then we decided we'd do a "U-Turn" and hit up every Barnes and Noble we had past that day to try to get a few more. To help us stay awake we stopped by See's Candy to get our chocolate fix before heading out...always a good thing.

After stopping by two more Barnes and Noble and striking out on finding the bigger sets we were hoping to find (I was on the search for "Hogwarts Castle") we landed on the jackpot. The Barnes and Noble in the same parking lot as the Toys R Us we had started out at 12 midnight was where we scored big time! We asked the 20-something year old working in the kid's section if he had seen any of the bigger sets and he said no...and then said "But I can just order them for you!" WHAT? Serious? Why had no one offered this at any of the previous three Barnes and Noble stores we had been at? GEEZ! SO just like that we were able to both order a set at 50% off. Done. Deal of the day for my kids, for sure! We figured we should end on a high note and headed home. What a day!

All in all I got some pretty good deals on gifts and on Anthro stuff for me. Mission accomplished...until next year! =)

I'm patiently awaiting the arrival of my Black Friday online purchases...hoping they arrive before the end of the week. Most things shipped out UPS so you know what that means....slow boat! I have quite a few returns to make since I ended up buying some things at 25% off and then was able to score them on Black Friday for 50% instead. That'll be next week's project...returns.

So here's what I wore on Black Friday:

-Frilled Echelons Peacoat-Anthropologie
-Looking Forward Top-Anthropologie
-Red Cap-Sleeve Top-Down East Basics
-Jeggings-American Eagle
-Miz Mooz "Siri" Boots-Endless
-Honey House Necklace-Anthropologie
-Bracelets-Tiffany
-Bardot Earrings-Stella & Dot
-Ring-Banana Republic

I was comfy and warm all day. The peacoat has turned into one of my favorite purchases...it's so easy to throw on a wear and it's suprisingly warm...love it!

Well that was way more information about my Black Friday experience than I'm sure you really wanted to hear, but there you go. Hope you had a fun one too!

Wind Rippled

Everyone recovering from Thanksgiving week/break? How about Black Friday? I had such a fun Black Friday experience (hello major Anthro scores!!!)...I'll give ya a full re-cap in a post soon, but since I'm crazy busy today I thought I'd just post what I wore to church yesterday:

-Wind Rippled Tee-Anthropologie
-Skirt-Loft (2010)
-Snakebite Belt-Anthropologie
-Stormy Seas Tights-Anthropologie
-Password Pumps-Nordstrom
-Small Open Circle Necklace-Shabby Apple
-Bracelet-Nordstrom (BP)
-Earrings-Pree Brulee
-Ring-Forever 21

This week is a crazy one so I won't be posting much...my oldest turns 8 on Friday so my in laws are coming in town on Thursday for his birthday party and baptism this weekend...gotta clean house and get ready for all the activities. Getting the kids back to school this morning was slightly painful...after a week of lounging around every morning no one was too excited to be up and at 'em bright and early (including me). Such is life!

I will share one of my most exciting Black Friday scores...well, two. First, I scored the Lego Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle set (normally $150) for half-off!!! Barnes and Noble was offering 1/2 off one educational toy...who knew Legos were considered educational! I mean, I kind of knew, but I didn't think they'd include them in the sale! That was the score of the day for the boys. The exciting score I got for myself however was these:

Endless had a 33% off sale going on certain boots/booties and these just happened to be included. Finally, I found some booties! Super excited! The best part is that they're already sitting in my closet...love how fast Endless ships!

Alrighty...I'm skipping the gym to head off to Party City this morning to get anything "Harry Potter" I can find for Mr. almost 8 year old's birthday party. Wish me luck!

Have a happy Monday!

PS-Anyone participating in Cyber-Monday?? I have my eye on a few things....gotta finish up my Christmas shopping!

Black Friday is in 1 hour 30 minutes!!!

Hi everyone!! I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving! It's been a great day...it started off with a 10K race (I improved my personal record by more than 3 minutes...whoot-whoot!!!), then we spent the afternoon with my family and had a YUMMY Thanksgiving dinner, and now I'm sitting here getting ready to leave for Black Friday! My best friend and I are making it 5 for 5...this is the 5th year in a row we're heading out to enjoy the Christmas chaos. It's literally my favorite day of the year. We'll definitely be stopping by Anthro for the 6am opening...wonder if the sale room will be a bust or not? I'll be sure to report back.

A few days ago I pulled out the most impressive Anthro purchase I've ever made...this cute sweater was regularly $180 and I found it one day in a sale room for just $19.95! Proud moment. It's a little on the shorter side for my long torso but all I have to do is throw on an undershirt and I'm good to go:

-Happy Morning Sweater-Anthropologie
-Curvy Jeans-Gap
-Cap Sleeve Tee-Shade Clothing
-Sandals-Journeys (OLD)
-Necklace-Loft (2010)
-Earrings-Nordstrom (BP)
-Ring-Forever 21
-Bracelet-DownEast Basics

Something about the bold stripes just had me at hello...so cute. It's super soft and cozy too...love that!

Alrighty...off to change into my shopping clothes! Here's what I'm planning on wearing to get my shop on:

Ruffle pea coat

Play with Patterns

Happy Anthro Sale day! Did you see all the goodies that hit sale this morning? WHOA! I certainly did my fair share of damage and even got a few price adjustments too! Did you score anything fun?

On Sunday I got up with absolutely no idea what I was going to wear to church, which for me is rare. Usually I plan out my outfit the night before to eliminate the rush and chaos of not knowing what I'm going to wear, but I just didn't get around to it this time. I ended up playing the "How many patterns can we mix?" game apparently and decided that the magic number would be three....Top, skirt and shoes. I thought 4 might be too many and went with a solid colored cardigan to balance it all out (Please excuse the slightly crooked skirt and ghostly white legs...scary, I know!) :)

-Alstroemeria Tee-Anthropologie
-3/4 sleeve cardigan-Nordstrom (BP)
-Cultural Heritage Skirt-Anthropologie
-Chiseled Wedges-Anthropologie
-Necklace-Fossil
-Strung Hoops-Anthropologie
-Bracelet-Nordstrom (BP)
-Ring-Forever 21

Really, can you ever be covered in too many patterns? Um, yes....the answer is yes, but in this instance I think it turned out ok (at least I think it did).

Have a happy Wednesday!

Black and Brown and a sparkly J Crew Factory find!

Hi ladies! Happy start of Thanksgiving week! My crew is out of school all week so vacation has officially begun. I have grand plans of catching up on some much needed sleep...as much as I can at least with three kids roaming around the house every morning (usually not-so quietly). I'm looking forward to my 10K race on Thursday morning (crossing my fingers it doesn't pour rain like the forecast says it's suppose to), spending the day with my family to celebrate Thanksgiving that afternoon and of course, my favorite day of the entire year...BLACK FRIDAY!!! We're T-minus 4 days now!

I'm a little behind in sharing my outfit pictures...here's one I wore last week but never got around to posting...I stopped by my local J Crew Factory Store to kill some time before I had to pick up my kindergartner this particular day so this picture comes courtesy of the dressing room mirror:

-Top-Forever 21
-Cardigan-Loft (2010)
-Jeggings-American Eagle
-Miz Mooz "Siri" Boots-Endless
-Necklace-Stella & Dot
-Strung Hoops-Anthropologie
-Ring-Forever 21

I never used to mix black and brown but now I love it! It's funny how just a few years ago it was such a fashion no-no to do such a thing. I love that anything goes now. I mean, I do draw the line on certain things, but as far as mixing patterns, colors or textures, anything goes.

While at J Crew I tried on a few things and found one top in particular that I really liked. I tried it on in 2 colors and sizes:

So the fit of the first one was great (an X-Small) but I liked the color of the second one better (second one was a size small...just a tad too sloppy looking). I think the pink top paired with a cute black skirt would be a fun holiday look. They didn't have the pink in my size at their store so I ended up doing a charge send for it and can't wait to get it! This top differs from most sequin tops that I've seen around because it's 3/4 sleeved and pink. Most I have come across are short sleeved or a tank. J Crew retail does have a 3/4 sleeve option right now but the colors are all darker from what I can see...no pink. There were a few other cute things floating around the factory store when I was there and I know they will be having some good deals on Black Friday so if you're interested, check it out! Just FYI....this 3/4 sleeve top is not on the factory website as of now...perhaps it will show up later.

I'm off with my boys today to run some errands. Need to make some returns! The sun is shining and it's beautiful out...love this CA fall weather! Sadly the rain will be back in a few days though. All well...I'll enjoy it while it lasts. Are you on the edge of your seats for the possible big sale at Anthro tomorrow morning?? I am!! Hope it's a good one!

Have a great day!

A Maxi skirt, a new toy and a few great deals!

It's taken me a while but I have finally joined in on the Maxi skirt craze. I love Maxi dresses so why not try out a skirt version? It took me a while to join in on the trend simply because I had a hard time finding the right Maxi skirt to get. Most are too long for my short legs. Finally I was able to score one that fit perfect. Here's my first attempt at the Maxi Skirt:

-Sidebent Tank-Anthropologie
-Jackie Cardigan-J Crew Factory
-Maxi Skirt-Quincee's Boutique (UT)
-Weave & Plait Belt-Anthropologie
-Miz Mooz Lacey T-Strap Pump
-Bracelet-Silpada Jewelry
-Earrings-Express
-Fossil Necklace-Macy's

Not only are Maxi skirts cute, they are SOOO comfy! Yes, please! =)

We're finally at the end of the week and I am thrilled! I'm so excited for my boys to have all of next week off! It'll give me lots of time to get things done around the house as well as learn to work this fun new toy I picked up today:

I braved the Apple store with three kids in tow this afternoon...thankfully there's lots of fun things to distract my crew in there. I actually bribed them with the promise that we would go down to the Lego store afterwards and build Lego men if they didn't make too much of a scene. That did the trick. So far I'm liking my new phone!

I'll leave you with a great deal I found this morning at Nordstrom...during the half-yearly sale I picked up a pair of cute purple Jessica Simpson flats.

While browsing online this morning I wanted to see if the prices had returned to normal yet after the sale and low and behold, some prices dropped again! The same shoes I bought last week were now 50% off instead of 30% off like they were when I purchased them! I called and got my price adjustment and then decided to pick these up as well since they also went down in price again.

I wore my purple pair yesterday and really like them. They were very comfortable and left no blisters on the first wear. They run TTS, by the way. I took my usual size 9 in flats. At $33 they are a great deal!

Hope you have a great day...TGIF!!!

Hidden Gem

Every once in a while Forever 21 comes out with something I just have to have. Although the quality of their clothing isn't always fabulous, you can find some pretty cute hidden gems in that massive, overwhelming store. Case in point:

I have been searching for a mustard yellow colored skirt ever since I missed the boat on the Refined Cord Skirt from Anthro last year so when I came across this skirt online I jumped on it. I mean, it was a whopping $20 (a little less even if I remember correctly) so what did I have to lose? Turns out it's pretty cute!

-Volante Tee-Anthropologie
-Pleated A-Line Skirt-Forever 21
-Snakebite Belt-Anthropologie
-Stormy Seas Tights-Anthropologie
-Chiseled Wedges-Anthropologie
-Bracelets-Tiffany
-Earrings and Ring-Forever 21

So did you score anything on sale this morning at Anthropologie? I may have jumped up a little out my seat in excitement when I saw the Stacked Strap Heels were FINALLY on sale! Needless to say they were in my cart ASAP and they are now on their way to my doorstep. I have been waiting for them to go on sale for forever it feels like! I love hearing what everyone gets, so chime in!

Just as an update for those of you who read regularly....you may remember I was on the hunt for the perfect fall booties to add to my closet. I ended up deciding upon THESE. After receiving them and trying them on in front of the mirror in my room a dozen times, I've decided they just aren't for me. While they are cute, they're a little more rugged than I think I want. They were also very uncomfortable, I'm sorry to say. So after deciding they weren't for me, I started looking all over again. I came across a pair of booties I've looked at several times before and liked, but this time they just really stuck out to me. How cute are THESE?!!

I am in totally in love with these and can't wait to try them on in person!

We're T-minus 9 days until my favorite day of the year...Black Friday! Do I know what I'm shopping for yet? No. But rest assured I will be out there with all the other crazies at midnight (Target now opens at midnight instead of 5am!). My kids need to sit down and write their letters to Santa soon so I know what they want! We're planning on squeezing in a 6am appearance at Anthropologie as well to see if there's any good deals to be had. I'm sure we'll be beat by the end of the day, but many great memories have been made with my girlfriends on Black Fridays in the past...I'm certain this one will be just as fun!

Thanks for reading...hope you have a great day!!

All Frilled Up

Another weekend over and back to the routine bright and early this morning! This week won't be too painful as we've got minimum days every day...just warming us up for the entire week off next week for Thanksgiving! We have family pictures coming up this weekend and I think I've just about got all the outfits figured out and ordered...one more pair of shoes to go. Here's what I'm thinking:

Family Pictures Outfits

I'm hoping the weather will cooperate so we can take pictures outside. We'll see...I basically just need a shot for our Christmas card so anything after that will be a bonus. My kids aren't exactly the most agreeable when it comes to taking pictures at this point in life so I'm hoping for the best but slightly expecting the worst.

Last week I wore my Frilled Echelons Coat a few times and fell in love with it even more...the color is just so pretty! It's a fun coat to layer with as it's a little on the cropped side. Here's how I wore it one day:

OOTD 11-9-11

LOFT ribbed cardigan, $54
Modal shirt, $48
Ruffle pea coat, $80
GAP tall skinny jeans, $70
Miz Mooz wedge heels, $240
M2 jewelry, $20
Forever21 flower jewelry, $2.66
Twist jewelry, $40

And in person:

I never used to think of a coat as part of my outfit but the past few years have changed my mind...now I'm all about having a cute coat to complete a look! My coat collection isn't large, but I've added a few to my closet this year. Just when I think I don't need another I find a fabulous must have!

Hope your Monday gets off to a great start! I wonder if we'll see another sale tomorrow at Anthro or if they'll hold out for Black Friday next week? You never know with them...I thought last week would be bleak and all of a sudden tons of cute things hit sale! Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Have a great day!

Finally...Anthro Fitting Room Reviews--Round 1

Happy Veterans Day everyone! We'll be enjoying our day off by visiting my family today. While my boys will get a little grandpa bonding time, my mom and I will be headed out to get a jump start on a little Christmas shopping! PS--Black Friday is in TWO WEEKS from today! Not that I'm excited or anything. =)

So I've finally got around to doing a little editing of all my fitting room review photos from my past two visits to Anthro. Some reviews will come from when I went to visit hubby down in Fresno last month, and others come from my girls night shopping trip to Roseville a few weeks ago. The quality of the photos from my Roseville trip are less than fab, I'm sorry to say. They stuck me in a closet of a dressing room and it had horrible lighting. Hope these help anyway!

Trace the Stars Blouse-$88 and Wispy Pointelle Cardi-$88 (red motif)

I went in looking for this cute top...it was at the top of my lost of things to try on. I was IN LOVE the second I put it on...it's so cute! I am wearing this in a size 2 and it fit perfect (maybe a tad big in the chest, but still doable...I'm just small chested). A size 0 would have been too tight through the shoulders and too short on my long torso so the 2 is the way I'll end up going. It hits perfectly right above my hips and has the tiniest bit of flare at the bottom. I paired it with this cropped, delicate cardi in red. I was most drawn to the red of all the colors offered in this cardigan. While it is very delicate and you'd have to be pretty careful not to rip or snag it, the reason I really like it is because it's so delicate. It gives it a textural look that other cardigans don't have. Overall I love this look. The top will be coming home with me at sale, if not before (we'll see if I can hold out) and the cardi is wish listed for sale.

Dots Within Blouse-now on sale for $59.95

This cute top hit sale this week and is now sold out online but I bet there are a few floating around the stores still. I had to go searching for one myself when it hit sale Tuesday morning because my size was already sold out. I didn't try this top on for a long time because I thought it would be too short on me by just looking at it on the hanger but I'm so glad I tried it on when I went to Anthro last time because I totally fell in love with it when I did! And it wasn't too short..yay! I tried this on in a size 2 and it fit great. It has a little bit of a loose feel to it but it doesn't billow out so much that you feel like it's too big. The green color is gorgeous and the cute polka dot pattern is both on trend and classic with a whimsical twist. Obviously I'm a fan...it arrived at my doorstep yesterday afternoon. =)

Della Top-$88

I had never seen this top online before trying it on in the store and I have to say, after I went online to see what it was called, I don't think I would have given it a second look based on the product shot at all. It looks much different on and in-person than it does online. I actually really liked this top and think it has a fun print and texture to it. It's semi-sheer so it definitely needs a layer underneath. I tried this on in a size Small and the fit was great. It would be super cute layered under a blazer! Wish listed.

Fractal Medallion Maxi-no on sale for $89.95

This item also went on sale this past week and I am definitely tempted! I saw this Maxi in Fresno and decided the blue motif was much more me after seeing both that and the red motif in person. I tried this on in an X-Small and it fit like a glove. It hugs in all the right spots and is super comfy. I know some people are concerned with the print landing in not-so-flattering spots on your body, but for the smaller-busted girl at least, it's not a problem up top. I am a fan of this cute dress and am waiting for 2nd cuts or maybe even a Black Friday deal on this if I can score one!

Looking Forward Top-$78 and AG Stevie Ankle Denim-$158 (Bone motif)

I have been making Polyvore sets with this top from the minute I saw it online...I have been so drawn to the gorgeous print and colors. Upon trying it on I knew it would be coming home with me for sure! It is a pretty light-weight top and needs a layer underneath to keep from being self-conscious, but beyond that this top is fabulous! And another layer in winter is no biggie anyways, right?! I tried this top on in an X-Small and it was the way to go. It's honestly too bad it didn't come in an XX-Small because that may have fit too...very small/petite girls may be sized out on this one depending on the shape of their upper bodies/shoulders/arms. While it is a little roomy, it's meant to be that way so it works. I couldn't wait to have this in my closet so I used some of my returns money to purchase this the night I tried it on. Love it!

These AG Stevies are a favorite of mine and I am trying my hardest to wait patiently for them to go on sale. I picked up the Sulfur Plum color a few weeks back when they went on sale but this color stayed full price. I am wearing a size 25 which is my normal AG Denim size and they fit perfectly. Wish listed for sale....hurry up already!!

Scully Pencil Skirt-$118

This skirt seems to be the cousin to the Layered Column Dress (sleeveless version) and the Tiered Stripes Dress (new winter-version). It's very cute and suprisingly, super flattering (not necessarily with the top I'm wearing with it but you get the idea). It hits below the knee and is fitted throughout. The stretchy-knit fabric is so comfortable that you forget you're wearing a skirt! Wish listed for sale!

Valparaiso Dress-$158

Hello gorgeous dress!!! I am head over heels in love with this dress. The color, the fit, the design...it is perfection! It totally reminds me of something you'd see Kate Middleton wear, am I right? I saw this dress online the week before heading to the the store and was hoping it was there to try on..lucky me it was! I tried this on in a size 2 and that's what I would get. It hit right at the middle of me knee where I prefer. The front tie can be tied tighter or looser depending on how you like it which makes it great for girls of all sizes on top. The fabric is gorgeous and it just feels so luxe. This would be the perfect holiday party go-to dress. We will be attending my husband's work party in December and this MAY just be the dress I wear...we shall see. Wish listed!!!

Twin Tiered Top-now on sale for $49.95 and Pilcro Serif Cords-$88 (Dark orange motif)

This cute top is so fun and has such a unique pattern. It's the kind of top you look at and think Anthropologie. I tried this on in an X-Small (pictured) but felt like it was a little tight...no give, so I went with a size small instead (hope it fits ok). I love the cute layered sleeves...it adds even more interest to an already interesting top. The colors are fabulous and scream fall. I picked this up when it went on sale this week!

This is the first time I've tried on a pair of Pilcro cords and it was a learning experience. I normally wear a size 25 in Pilcro denim so I first tried these in a 25 as well. No-go...I could barely pull them over my hips, and once they were on they were very tight. I sized up to a size 26, which is what I'm wearing in the picture, and they were a better fit, however still a challenge to pull on. For those of you who don't know, these cords are a pull-on style (no zipper or button-fly). I'm not sure I'm sold on the pull-on style and still want to try on the AG Stevie Cords to see what the difference in fit is and compare. Thinking about these for now.

Glimmer Graph Shell-$158 (Ivory motif-although it looks white)

This is another item I was dying to try on after seeing it online and another that didn't disappoint! I tried this on in a size Small because that was the smallest size my store had. It was a bit big so I would definitely go with an X-Small. It is a slightly sheer top so you would need to wear something underneath (perhaps you wouldn't have to with the green motif since that's darker). This top is simply gorgeous...I love the fine details, the neckline, the overall design...it would be such a fabulous layering piece and can totally be dressed up for the holidays. Overall I am in love, but just wish it wasn't so expensive. I will be stalking this one until it hits sale and then it will be mine! =) Wish listed for sale.

Tiered Stripes Dress-$188 (Purple Motif)

This dress is super cute and very comfortable. I tried this on in a size small and it was a great fit for me. The purple motif is a really pretty, rich, deep color and is great for winter. The main problem I have with with this dress is the length. It falls at a really unflattering spot on me since I have such short legs. My friend suggested I could have it shortened if I liked it enough...duh...great idea! So here's what it would look like a few inches shorter:

SO much better, right? We were both making mention of how it looked like a totally different dress when you shortened it. I'm still not sure if I prefer this dress or the Layered Column Dress but either way I go, I'll be getting it shortened to look better on my short legs. Wish Listed!

Trifecta Tee-$58-Brown motif

I was surprised by how much I liked this top. I tried it on in the only color the Fresno store had which was brown motif. I went with a size Small on this top and it fit well. The sleeves are obviously quite large, but I think they actually work quite well with the ruched design down the middle...kind of balances it out. I later tried this top on in orange and liked that color too...wish listed for sale!
